At a press conference conducted this morning in Kuala Lumpur at the Mega Star Arena in Sungei Wang Plaza, the Kuala Lumpur Warehouse Project (KLWH) 2.0 was formally unveiled. The full lineup was also disclosed to the media at the hour-long event, which also included local performers, collaborators, and significant sponsors.
The second edition of the highly successful electronic dance music festival is organised once again by Leo Global Link Sdn Bhd and will be staged at the the highly-in-demand Mega Star Arena, on Saturday 26th August 2023, and is expected to be a bigger and much more exciting one than the highly successful and incident free first edition in January this year.
For the first time ever, KLWP 2.0 is proud to present something even more special for fans of Techno, Big Room Techno, and Hard Techno. The organisers of KLWP have been listening to your feedback and requests, and are confident that this year’s event should exceed your expectations.
KLWP 2.0 will unleash another 5 of the biggest or fastest growing deejay-producers in the world- including headliner Danny Avila, along side other majors that include Maddix, Olly James, Marie Vaunt, and Lister, who is being brought back again by popular demand – in another massive EDM party that is expected to send the message that vibrant and tourism friendly Kuala Lumpur is the next entertainment capital of Southeast Asia.
The local lineup will feature the world-beating and multiple award-winning deejay/producers Chukiess & Whackbhoi, rising stars and international recording artists Vision X, Smash and Nitrozeus.
“We had such ball and a grand success with our inaugural KLWP last January which saw 4,000 EDM fans gather and have a great time with no untoward incidents whatsoever.”
This was revealed by Leo Global Link’s chairman Dato’ Muthalagan Sangaralingam in his welcome address.
“In fact we are extremely proud that even our national news network RTM was on hand to interview all our international acts and stayed on until nearly the end to cover the event, and report that the event was safe and did not produce any social ills (acara tanpa gejala social),” Dato’s Muthalagan shared.
“Thank you also to all our mainstream, digital media and blogger friends who gave us such excellent and positive coverage in January and thank you for covering us once again for KLWP 2.0 this time around. We truly appreciated it,” he commented gratefully.
“The inaugural KLWP 1.0 rebooted EDM in Malaysia after three years of pandemic measures which had kept the industry at standstill and international artistes out of the country,” Dato’ Muthalagan expressed.
“We are now proud to announce that we are producing the second edition of KLWP with the intent of bringing tourists back into the country especially from our Southeast Asian neighbours and making our tourist friendly Kuala Lumpur once again the entertainment capital of the region.”
KLWP aims to attract young urban travelers and music lovers from Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, and the rest of Southeast Asia, to Kuala Lumpur not only to enjoy great a EDM experience but also to experience the wonders of our exciting city as an inexpensive and vibrant tourist attraction and as a travel destination made just for them, and which will remain close to their hearts.
The spanking new Mega Star Arena where the event is being held is located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur’s entertainment, F&B and shopping district, which is easily accessible by all. It boasts one of the best sound and lighting systems for an indoor venue in the country. EDM fans are simple going to be blown away on the day.

The KLWP Early Bird General Admission (GA) & VIP and Phase 1 General Admission & VIP tickets were so affordable, they were SOLD OUT no sooner than they went on sale.
Phase 2 General Admission (GA) at RM 198 & Phase 2 VIP tickets at RM 258 are currently available but are selling fast. Limited quantities are still available.
GA tickets only allow entry to General Admission areas of the event, while VIP tickets allow entry to both VIP and General Admission areas of the event. VIP ticket holders are entitled to the following:

- Access to VIP area which is on the upper level & can access GA area lower level

Doors to the event will open at 5.00 pm.
Attendees will need to be at least 18 years old on the date of the event and will be asked for photo ID as proof of age. Anyone below the age of 18 years old on the date of the event will not be allowed into the venue.
Ticket holders will need to redeem their tickets for wristbands in order to gain entry to the event.These wristbands must be worn at all times and those found without wristbands will be asked to leave the venue. Attendees are responsible for their own wristbands and lost wristbands will not be replaced.
Guests will need to produce the following at the wristband redemption counter in order to redeem your wristband(s):
– The e-ticket(s) in print or digital form
– A copy of your valid photo ID or passport matching the customer name on the ticket(s).
The Event Organizer may refuse entry to holders of tickets that are not genuine, purchased or acquired from unauthorized agents, or damaged. No resale or use of tickets by third parties in connection with other offers and promotions of tickets are allowed and KLWP reserves the right to cancel any tickets that have been resold or used by third parties in connection with other promotions, without a refund and the bearer of the ticket may be refused admission.
Dato’ Muthalagan also stressed that all necessary permits to conduct the event successfully has already been secured including from the police, local councils and Puspal to ensure that KLWP will be run without any hiccups.
“We have a very capable, knowledgeable and experienced team handling all aspects of KLWP. They have been at it for many years and have put together many successful EDM events in the past,” concluded Dato’ Muthalagan.

Danny Avila
Spanish house and electro house deejay and producer, 28-year-old Daniel “Danny” Avila Rosón was the first to be announced to the line up of KLWP 2.0.
MTV and Billboard’s “one to watch” has worked with Tiësto, Deniz Koyu and Fedde Le Grand and was nominated as the “DJ Revelación” at the Vicious Music Awards by Ron Barceló 2011.
He debuted at the Ultra Music Festival of Miami in March 2013 and was signed to a contract with MGM of Vegas as the youngest resident in the history of Hakkasan the very same year alongside artistes like Steve Aoki, Laidback Luke, Deadmau5, Tommy Trash, Tiesto and Calvin Harris.
He was ranked #36 on DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs list in 2022.
Over the last two years, Avila has embarked on developing a new sound, Mainstage Techno, which has since grown into a record label.
He has since been bringing Mainstage Techno to most major festivals and clubs across the globe, and playing his new music to amazing reactions of the audiences. It will be here soon.
Maddix
The Dutch progressive house and big room DJ and producer has performed at most major festivals including Ultra Music Festival, Parookaville, World Club Dome, and Mysteryland.
Maddix continues to be in the spotlight on streaming platforms and dance floors alike.
The immense growth of his own established sound is creating tremors in the global electronic dance music scene and getting the full support of all big names, varying from Techno artists like Amelie Lens, HI-LO / Oliver Heldens and UMEK to EDM and Trance artists like Hardwell, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Tiesto and Armin van Buuren.
He currently has releases with top labels such as Spinnin’, Armada, Rave Culture, and Hardwell’s Revealed Recordings.
With his partnership with Revealed Recordings, his music has gone viral on Instagram and TikTok and has received numerous #1 genre spots on the most important DJ download portal Beatport. In combination with achieving around 4 million monthly listeners on Spotify, one can say Maddix has created a movement that will change the world.
His audience has since grown into a truly global collective and his sound and brand continue to blaze the trail and up the ante for electronic music.
UK deejay & producer Olly James is the founder of the Rave Room movement that aims to take bigroom to higher tempos and energy levels. He’s been a regular figure on Spinnin’ Records with his well-received remix of Sash!’s Ecuador. He’s also been a mainstay on Rave Culture, Revealed Recordings, and Maxximize Recordings with his ever-evolving sound and continuous releases.
Lister
Originally from Launceston Tasmania, Lister had a strong passion for music since a young age. His love for production began at 13, when he was first introduced to FL Studio.
After finding his love for EDM and inspired by Inspired by the sound of Melbourne Orchestrated, Joel Fletcher & SCNDL, Lister worked on FL every single day he could, even during high school and whenever he had the chance. This led him his first DJing gig at 15, which eventually turned into weekend performances. Since then Lister has progressed his sound to a more minimal and darker style of genre, catching the eyes and ears of the producers he has looked up to. Now 20, and living in Melbourne, there is endless potential for this young star.
The affable Lister made such an impact at KLWP 1.0, he was brought back on popular demand.
Marie Vaunt
Marie Vaunt is a Japanese-raised LA-based deejay and producer. With her unique blend of massive rhythms, dark and ethereal vocals, and genre-defining acid lines, she has gained a large following, amassing 3.2 million Spotify streamsin 222, while being a regular on the Beatport Top 1000 chart.
Marie has been released on some of Techno’s most respected labels including Drumcode, Fe Chrome., Kneaded pains, Set About. Autektone, Legend, Codex, IAMT, Neoacid and Alaula. She has also made official remixes for artistes such as Cosmic Boys, Dense & Pika, T78, A*S*Y*S* and Kai Tracid, and has received support from industry heavyweights Adam Beyer, Maddix, Sian, *A*S*YX and Mark Dekoda, to name a few.
In addition to her success as a producer, Marie has also made for herself as a performer, bringing her signature sound to stages in countries including Japan, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Portugal, Spain and USA. Marie Vaunt has solidified her place in the Techno scene as a household name, and continues to push boundaries with her unique and innovative sound.
Chukiess & Whackboi
Shukri Tan & Bel Brian Doroz, professionally known as Chukiess & Whackboi are deejays, record producers & remixers from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. They are known for their energetic live performance, and mostly known for their unique raw fusion of Progressive, Psy, Techno & Trance music.
Born in 1989, and raised in the Royal City Of Klang, Chuckiess started his adventure at the age of 18 (2007) as an electronic music lover (as a trance addict) and eventually became a raver in the Hardstyle scene. When he was 20, he had already been trained as club deejay by DJ Masterbasez at Maison Club in Kuala Lumpur. By 2010, he had already establish himself, and was getting gigs at big events such as Hell House and Crazy Day. His partners were DJ Yoshiro & DJ Ejiez back then. He is also the main organizer for Partylicious and EDM Rockstar. He also also worked for KL Tower as an event coordinator and was founder of the Tower Rocks brand.
Born in 1993, and raised in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Whackboi started deejaying and producing music since high school. He was involved in many underground EDM/RAVE gigs in Sabah & Sarawak. He took up music producing as a serious career by studying the fundamentals of technology in music producing , mixing and mastering especially in electronic music.
He & partner Chukiess released a smash hit called ‘Double Damage’ in the early days, and it received overwhelming support from local & international deejay/producers all around the world.
Whackboi’s music is highly influenced by Jazz, Blues, Swing, Classical and Modern music. The multi-talented Whackboi is also able to play musical instruments such as piano, guitar, flute, saxophone, cello, modular synthesizer and a variety of traditional musical instruments.
In 2012 , he took the plunge by formally joining Chukiess as a deejaying duo by creating the Chukiess & Whackboi brand. And the rest is history.
The multiple award-winning deejay duo’s music has been supported by big names including, Armin Van Buuren, Andrew Rayel, Ben Nicky, Blasterjaxx, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Hardwell, Ruben De Ronde, W&W and many more.

Deejay & producer Syeid Ibrahim Sulayman, who is best known as Smash, picked up his amazing skills back in 2014 when he was starting learning at the DJ Scratch Academy Speedzone in Johore Baru. His passion and the adrenaline rush he felt from performing in front of an audience led him to refine his skills under the guidance of DJ E.T.A. Based in Kuala Lumpur has a built a solid reputation iwith his signature Techno, Tech Trance, Hard Trance and Hardstyle sets.
He is also the founder of Explode Music Entertainment, a brand which has worked with international artistes such as Sam Jone, Collin Hernez, Shugz and more.
Smash has also produced brilliant tracks for acts such as Predator, Aftermath, made In Seremban and Unknown.He has also headlined many shows in Malaysia and also been featured at the renowned Neon Music Festival in Bangkok.
