The Kuala Lumpur Tower, one of the capital’s most celebrated landmarks, recently made history by hosting its first-ever Penalty Shootout Tournament on Saturday, 29 June 2025. The lively event, which took place from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the scenic Tower Terrace, attracted over 100 enthusiastic teams ready to test their skills in two competitive categories: Futsal Sharp Shooter and Netball Shootout.
Designed as part of Kuala Lumpur Tower’s initiative to create fresh, inclusive experiences for the public, the tournament offered a unique platform for sports lovers of all backgrounds to gather and engage in friendly competition right in the heart of the city. With a modest participation fee of just RM50 per team of five, the event was accessible and welcoming, contributing to a dynamic atmosphere beneath the iconic skyline.
Participants came with energy and excitement, showcasing their precision and passion in hopes of clinching top prizes. The winners in each category were rewarded handsomely, with first-place teams receiving RM2,000 in cash along with five exclusive KL Tower Combo Tickets. Second-place winners took home RM1,000 and tickets, while third and fourth places earned RM500 and RM300 respectively, in addition to the coveted entry passes.
