In partnership with JAKIM, Nestlé Sayang Komuniti volunteers packed 1,500 Bakul Ramadan for vulnerable communities across the Klang Valley, as well as products for distribution to 70 mosques, benefitting nearly 40,000 members of the mosque community.
Collaboration played a pivotal role in amplifying the reach and impact of Nestlé Malaysia’s “Ramadan Penuh Bermakna bersama Nestlé” initiative, as the company worked hand in hand with a diverse network of partners to deliver aid nationwide. Among the key collaborators was the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia, which facilitated the distribution of 1,500 Bakul Ramadan to vulnerable communities across the Klang Valley, as well as in Tanjung Malim and Hulu Selangor. This partnership ensured that assistance reached targeted groups efficiently and effectively.
Nestlé Malaysia also supported JAKIM’s Iftar MADANI programme, contributing beverage sampling for breaking fast, while extending its support to 70 mosques nationwide through a two-week supply of NESCAFÉ and MILO products. This initiative alone benefitted nearly 40,000 mosque community members, reinforcing the role of mosques as central hubs for community engagement during Ramadan.
Beyond religious institutions, Nestlé Malaysia collaborated with media organisations, PRESMA and Ali Maju to expand outreach efforts to urban poor communities, indigenous groups, orphanages and charitable foundations. These partnerships enabled the distribution of an additional 3,500 Ramadan relief packages, ensuring broader coverage across different segments of society. Further extending its impact, the company worked with the Malaysian Humanitarian Aid and Relief to provide product contributions and financial aid to refugee households, while initiatives with the Selangor Youth Community (SAY) delivered sustained support to orphanages.
Through these multi-sector collaborations, Nestlé Malaysia demonstrated the power of collective action in addressing social challenges, highlighting how partnerships can significantly enhance the scale and effectiveness of humanitarian efforts.
