In celebration of its 95th anniversary, Toshiba Sales & Services Sdn. Bhd. has proudly introduced the NaturePURE Series 820L Refrigerator, officially recognized by the Malaysia Book of Records as the largest-capacity refrigerator in the country. This milestone innovation reflects Toshiba’s commitment to nearly a century of cutting-edge technology, product reliability, and consumer-centric excellence.
Steven Yang, Managing Director of Toshiba Sales & Services Sdn. Bhd., said that Toshiba continues to grow by expanding its diverse product portfolio to meet the evolving lifestyle needs of today’s consumers. He added that the company is targeting a 25% year-on-year growth in 2025 compared to 2024, fuelled by rising demand for smart, stylish, and high-performance home appliances.
As of Q1 2025, Toshiba Malaysia has recorded significant market share in major home appliance segments: 16.7% in refrigerators (ranked No. 2), 13.6% in washing machines (ranked No. 2), and 10.5% in microwave ovens (ranked No. 5). The steady growth across categories highlights Toshiba’s strong presence in delivering practical, energy-efficient, and lifestyle-enhancing solutions for Malaysian households.
Regionally, Toshiba continues to solidify its presence across ASEAN, particularly in Thailand, while maintaining brand dominance and customer loyalty in its home market, Japan. To further strengthen its connection with local consumers, Toshiba opened its first branded store in Kuala Lumpur in 2024 to enthusiastic response. Building on that momentum, the company now operates 14 brand stores across Malaysia and aims to launch a flagship store along with 50 Shop-in-Shop (SIS) locations by the end of 2025.

The NaturePURE 820L Refrigerator is the first of its kind in ASEAN a four-door, side-by-side refrigerator offering over 820 litres of storage. Designed for multi-generational households, it provides ample compartmentalized space perfect for storing fresh produce, baby food, skincare items, and frozen goods.
Equipped with high-capacity technology, the refrigerator utilizes ultra-thin insulation and miniaturized components to maximize interior storage without expanding its exterior dimensions. Key features include a PureAIR Sterilization System that eliminates 99.99% of bacteria and 99% of odors with hourly purification, and a PureAIR Turbo Mode that purifies up to three times faster ideal for strong-smelling dishes.
The Pure ICE 3-Level System ensures hygienic, odor-free ice made using FDA-certified water systems, while the Magic 2 Sizes Ice Maker is an industry-first, capable of producing cubed and half-cubed ice up to 2kg in just 95 minutes. Cooling performance is enhanced by the use of R290 refrigerant, delivering 30% faster cooling while reducing environmental impact.
Looking ahead, Toshiba plans to expand its signature Japandi Series blending Japanese craftsmanship with Scandinavian design aesthetics. Following the successful debut of its first Japandi refrigerator in 2024, the concept will be extended to dishwashers, water purifiers, and other home appliances, offering Malaysian consumers a seamless combination of elegant design and intuitive functionality.
