Kuala Lumpur’s creative scene is set to welcome a new audiovisual experience as LLØØPP, a format created by Dutch-American artist and composer 0010×0010 (Ray Tijssen), launches its first residency at REXPERIENCE, the immersive digital-art gallery located inside REXKL.
Produced by SQNXR and presented with Jazzy Group, LLØØPP will begin its soft opening on 12 October 2026, before its official launch on 7 November. The project transforms REXPERIENCE’s 8,800-square-foot space into three distinct environments through original music and generative visuals.
The experience features three programmes: MORNING, DUSK and DANCE, each designed to give visitors a different way to enjoy the same immersive room. Every programme combines an original ten-minute musical composition with a visual system developed from the same score, creating a continuous audiovisual loop.
MORNING offers a calming atmosphere suited to yoga, meditation, stretching and mindful relaxation. DUSK shifts the mood towards dining and social interaction, allowing visitors to enjoy food and conversations within an immersive setting. Meanwhile, DANCE focuses on rhythm, movement and collective energy, featuring an electronic music experience.
Visitors can experience a complete cycle of each programme or remain for multiple loops during their booked session. Session times will follow the venue’s published schedule.
According to 0010×0010, LLØØPP explores how a single space can create different experiences without changing its physical structure. By composing music and visuals together, the project allows the atmosphere and use of the room to evolve throughout the day.
The residency also reflects REXKL’s role as a meeting point for Kuala Lumpur’s cultural, dining and nightlife scenes. Joanne Goh, CEO of Jazzy Group and LLØØPP’s regional representative, said the venue was a natural choice for the format’s first residency because it brings together different aspects of urban life.
Located within the former REX Cinema, REXPERIENCE provides the architectural setting and audiovisual infrastructure for the project. Rather than requiring a purpose-built installation, LLØØPP builds on existing spaces by integrating sound and visuals into their surroundings.
Following its launch, LLØØPP will remain at REXPERIENCE with scheduled presentations of all three programmes. The format is also designed for potential use in other immersive venues, cultural spaces and hospitality settings.
The official launch on 7 November will bring all three experiences together in one day, beginning with afternoon yoga and meditation through MORNING, followed by an early-evening dining programme with a special menu under DUSK, before concluding with a late-night electronic music programme featuring 0010×0010.
LLØØPP will be hosted at REXPERIENCE (RXP.KL), inside REXKL, 80 Jalan Sultan, 50000 Kuala Lumpur. Tickets are available through Cloudjoi, with prices starting at RM45, according to the supplied announcement.
