Intelligent Manufacturing Kuala Lumpur 2025 Set to Kick Off Next Week at KLCC

Intelligent Manufacturing Kuala Lumpur (IMKL) 2025, a highly anticipated conference-led event, will take place next week from 14 to 16 May at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. Organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, this annual gathering aims to strengthen the digital capabilities of ASEAN manufacturers. Themed “Synergising Technologies and Workforce Adoption for Operational Success,” the two-day central conference will bring together over 20 industry experts, business leaders, academics, and policymakers from across eight countries to explore strategies for digital transformation across the manufacturing value chain.

The event will feature keynote sessions, panel discussions, and case studies that span topics from factory-level applications to large-scale supply chain improvements. One of the highlights includes a session by Mr James Kok from AI Singapore, who will discuss AI integration strategies under the topic “AI-First Nation: Transforming Industries Through AI.” Another standout speaker, Mr Mohamed Taher Mouni from Beyond 4.0 and the United Nations’ AISMA initiative, will explore the global challenges of implementing sustainable digitalisation projects. Mr Michael Thavarajah from Intel Corporation will delve into data governance and AI deployment in semiconductor manufacturing, while Mr Edwin Yap of Jemco Retail Fixtures will share real-world insights on human-machine collaboration in hybrid workforces and smart warehouse automation.

In addition, a dedicated panel discussion titled “Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a Catalyst for Innovation and Workforce Enhancement” will feature thought leaders such as Mr Foong Chee Mun of YTL AI Labs, Mr Jerry Zhao of Inspur Cloud, and Mr Sam Majid of the National AI Office Malaysia. They will examine the impact of AI on workforce management, operational efficiency, and innovation.

Complementing the conference, IMKL 2025 will showcase cutting-edge technologies in its product showcase area and Tech Lab, featuring brands such as Schaeffler Malaysia, Quantum Computing, and Moxo Pte Ltd. Visitors will get a hands-on look at innovations in smart manufacturing while networking with experts from various industrial sectors. The Tech Lab will offer in-depth technical demonstrations, workshops, and discussions, including two interactive sessions of the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Game to promote awareness of the UN’s 17 SDGs.

A key feature this year is the debut of SPS Stage Kuala Lumpur, which connects ASEAN manufacturers with the global SPS network. Participating international companies such as Belden, Bender, Bossard, and SICK will not only present their latest solutions but also lead expert-led sessions on smart sensors, data connectivity, and intelligent factory systems.

Entry to the product showcase area and Tech Lab is free for all professionals aged 18 and above. Conference admission is ticketed, with an early bird rate of MYR 2,150 per person available until 13 May. The standard two-day package is priced at MYR 2,400, while a group purchase of three or more tickets is available at a discounted rate of MYR 1,600 per person. All fees are subject to local sales and service tax and may be claimable under the HRD Corp levy for registered Malaysian organisations.
