BRDB and Heatherwick Studio Join Forces to Redefine Community Living in Damansara Heights

As part of its 60th anniversary celebration, BRDB, one of Malaysia’s most trusted property developers, has officially acquired the site of Wisma Damansara in Kuala Lumpur. This marks the beginning of an ambitious mixed-use development in collaboration with globally acclaimed British design firm, Heatherwick Studio.

Strategically located near MRT Semantan, the new project will serve as a seamless link between Damansara Heights and the heart of Kuala Lumpur. It is set to offer an integrated residential and retail experience designed to elevate everyday living.

Heatherwick Studio’s debut in Malaysia will bring its iconic human-centric design philosophy to one of the capital’s most desirable neighborhoods. The retail component will feature a hybrid indoor-outdoor environment, blending lush green landscapes with curated urban conveniences.

Envisioned as a vibrant community hub, the development will inspire social connection, promote wellness, and encourage a closer bond with nature—all while redefining how people interact with urban spaces.

“This partnership with Heatherwick Studio marks a transformative moment for BRDB and Malaysian architecture,” said Dato’ Sri Akbar Khan, Executive Chairman of BRDB. “This is more than just a skyline-changing development—it’s a reimagining of urban life. As BRDB celebrates six decades of excellence, we are proud to introduce a legacy project that will evolve with the community and stand the test of time.”

Thomas Heatherwick, Founder and Design Director of Heatherwick Studio, also shared his enthusiasm. “We are delighted to partner with BRDB on our first Malaysian project. It’s an exciting time for the region, and we hope to create a joyful, impactful destination for the community in Damansara.”
