A New Chapter for Shen Loon She: ASEAN Recognition, Brand Expansion, and Ambassador Debut

A major milestone for the health and wellness industry was marked today at Sofitel Kuala Lumpur Damansara as homegrown brand Shen Loon She (SLS) celebrated its expanded presence across Malaysia through a new retail partnership with Watsons Malaysia. The event also saw the brand receiving a prestigious ASEAN Record and unveiling its latest brand ambassador, prominent television host Tan Chia Yong.

Established in 1978, Shen Loon She Enterprise Sdn. Bhd. has grown into a respected name in health innovation, known for its expertise in product formulation, OEM services, manufacturing, marketing, and distribution of both traditional and modern wellness offerings designed for contemporary lifestyles.

Before this collaboration, SLS products were primarily available online and through two dedicated outlets in Penang and Kuala Lumpur, which had already developed a loyal customer following. With the latest partnership, SLS has significantly expanded its retail footprint, making its products available in Watsons stores across 13 states in Malaysia. This strategic move enhances product accessibility for everyday consumers while allowing the brand to connect with new and broader customer segments.

Speaking during the launch, Andy Lee, Chief Executive Officer of SLS, shared that the brand’s growth carries a deeper purpose beyond commercial success. He emphasised that the company is committed to preserving the values and trust cultivated over the years, with a mission to make scientifically backed wellness more available to modern consumers through formulations that align with today’s lifestyle demands. He noted that the expansion into nationwide retail is about creating easier and more meaningful ways for Malaysians to access wellness products, grounded in the belief that personal health is the foundation of family happiness.

In line with this new chapter, SLS has appointed Tan Chia Yong as its newest brand ambassador. Well known to Malaysian audiences for his credible and composed on-screen presence, Tan embodies the core values of the brand, trust, tradition, and sincerity. His appointment is part of the company’s efforts to strengthen public engagement as it scales up operations and enhances its presence across the country. Tan shared his personal experience with SLS products and expressed genuine pride in being part of the brand’s journey, noting that Shen Loon She has long been a household name in Malaysia and that his support stems from real trust in the results.

Adding to the celebration, SLS was officially recognised with an ASEAN Record for achieving the highest number of joint supplement bottles featuring UC-II sold within a single month. In July 2025, the company recorded sales of 10,040 bottles amounting to RM1.43 million. The award highlights the success of its leading product, Moflex Plus, which contains UC-II, a patented undenatured type II collagen known for its clinical effectiveness in supporting joint flexibility, comfort, and mobility with just one small daily dose.

To further validate its product integrity, SLS received an official certificate of authentication from global healthcare leader LONZA, the trademark holder for UC-II. This certification, alongside the record-breaking achievement, underscores the trustworthiness and efficacy of Moflex Plus as a Malaysian-made supplement that meets the expectations of health-conscious consumers.

Adding a personal touch to the occasion, the event also featured a segment dedicated to the SLS Friends, a community of loyal customers who have supported and grown with the brand over the years.
