Malaysia’s contemporary arts landscape enters an exciting new era with the official opening of Algorithmic Organisms 2.0, the nation’s first-of-its-kind immersive audiovisual art experience. Running from 4 to 19 July 2026 at The Grey Box, GMBB Kuala Lumpur, the exhibition transforms the conventional gallery visit into a dynamic sensory journey where artificial intelligence, generative visuals, immersive sound and spatial storytelling merge to create a living, ever-evolving artistic environment.

Organised by Jazzy Group of Companies and presented by MAISEAT, with the support of the National Art Gallery of Malaysia (Balai Seni Negara), the exhibition introduces audiences to a new way of engaging with contemporary art. Rather than viewing artworks from a distance, visitors are encouraged to step inside an interactive world where AI-generated imagery and digital lifeforms continuously evolve in real time, offering a unique experience with every visit.

Speaking during the official launch, Joanne Goh, Founder and CEO of Jazzy Group of Companies, described the exhibition as more than a traditional art showcase. She explained that Algorithmic Organisms 2.0 invites audiences to become active participants within an immersive audiovisual ecosystem, where technology serves not as the focal point, but as a creative medium that expands artistic imagination and emotional expression. The exhibition also reflects the company’s commitment to introducing world-class creative experiences while encouraging conversations surrounding art, culture and innovation.

Adding international prestige to the event was the presence of acclaimed Dutch audiovisual artist and Creative Director 0010×0010, Ray Tijssen, who unveiled the exhibition alongside organisers and partners. During a guided walkthrough, Ray shared the creative philosophy behind the installations, demonstrating how AI, immersive audio and generative visual systems work together to produce a constantly changing artistic landscape that responds to the possibilities of digital creativity.

The official opening concluded with an exclusive cocktail reception featuring live DJ performances, synchronised audiovisual projections and immersive lighting displays, creating an energetic celebration where art, music and technology seamlessly intersected. Visitors throughout the exhibition period can also enjoy a special GMBB promotion, allowing shoppers to purchase exhibition tickets at a discounted rate by presenting a same-day receipt.

Beyond the exhibition itself, Ray Tijssen will also conduct the interactive masterclass, Machine Vision & Human Expression, at the National Art Gallery of Malaysia on 4 July 2026. Open to artists, students, designers and members of the public, the session offers valuable insights into the growing relationship between technology and contemporary creative practice, further strengthening Algorithmic Organisms 2.0 as a platform for artistic exploration and innovation.
