This year, Mojo Projects presents an extraordinary dual concert series honouring South India’s musical legends. The first event, K.S. Chithra Live with the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO), will take place at Dewan Filharmonik PETRONAS (DFP) on 29 November 2025, marking a historic moment as Malaysia’s first Indian orchestral performance. The Nightingale of South India will be joined by Madhu Balakrishnan, Sathyaprakash, and Anamika P.S., with Gerard Salonga conducting, bringing orchestral arrangements of timeless classics like Kannalane and Malargale to the Malaysian stage. Chithra’s illustrious career spans four decades with more than 25,000 recordings, making her one of India’s most revered playback singers.
Following this, Meendum SPB 2.0 will be held on 6 December 2025 at Zepp Kuala Lumpur, paying homage to the legendary S.P. Balasubrahmanyam. The lineup includes S.P. Charan, Vijay Prakash, Saindhavi, Anand Aravindakshan, and Priyanka, performing SPB’s iconic hits and evoking the timeless charm of his voice. Mojo Projects’ CEO, Ratna K. Nadarajan, highlights the purpose of these events: to protect and celebrate musical legacy while bringing world-class performances to local audiences. With these two concerts, Mojo Projects bridges cultural heritage and contemporary entertainment, giving Malaysian fans a rare opportunity to experience the artistry and emotion of South India’s greatest musical voices.
