4th Motormaniac Annual Event Set to Attract Over 30,000 at Kuala Lumpur’s Skyline Rooftop

MotorManiac, the motorsport and lifestyle brand under Bateriku, unveiled details of its 4th Annual Event during a press conference at Bateriku Garage (BGarage) in Shah Alam earlier today.

Taking place next Saturday, 6 September 2025, the one-day event will light up the rooftop of MyTown, Kuala Lumpur with the city skyline as its backdrop. This year’s edition is expected to be the largest yet, featuring over 600 modified cars across categories such as local builds, JDM icons, Continental machines and Super Cars. The rooftop will also serve as a perfect photo spot, especially at sunset leading into midnight.

Organised by Bateriku, Malaysia’s leading Connected Roadside Assistance provider, the press conference brought together a strong line-up of partners and supporters. Main partners include Astra, UVR, Retro Havoc, Printing, Kahf and GGR Motor. Official sponsors such as Mr Absorber, Kopi Saigon, Driveo and Petronas Lubricant also pledged their support, alongside streetwear collaborators Headers, Super Sunday, Abstrax and Choii Motorsports. Loyal supporters from BWB, Biadap, Downshift, SFS Garage, Indiscrete, Antera Motorsports, 199 Garage and Placed joined the announcement, together with media representatives from multiple platforms.

The press conference was hosted by emcee Killa Driz, a Malaysian rapper, who welcomed special guest performer ChronicalZ from Desa Pandan.

This year, MotorManiac expands its reach internationally with global media partners. They include CarCvlT from the United Kingdom, a digital collective known for unique automotive storytelling; Australian motoring journalist and content creator Clay Wong; and Tatsu Miyagawa from Japan, a respected JDM photographer and cultural tastemaker.

On the event day, MyTown Rooftop will be transformed into a festival celebrating cars, culture and creativity. Visitors can expect competitions such as the King of Maniac challenge, the ASTRA Cup 2 Step Competition and the Car Limbo Contest. Families and collectors can enjoy the Mini Diecast Expo, while music lovers can look forward to a rooftop hip hop concert featuring ALYPH, EEMRUN, Dann N Qrack and 53 Universe.

The ASTRA Cup will be introduced this year as a challenge trophy. Winners will have their names engraved on the cup each year, building a sense of tradition and prestige for future editions.

Another new feature is a Lucky Draw. Visitors who purchase MotorManiac merchandise on the event day will receive one raffle ticket, while those who buy two Bateriku vouchers valued at RM40 each will also qualify. Three winners will each take home an EV Bike from GGR Motors.

Last year’s event welcomed about 30,000 visitors across two days. For 2025, organisers expect a similar turnout compressed into a single day, creating a lively festival atmosphere running from 10 in the morning until midnight.

MotorManiac founder Mikhail Faizi, also known as Mike, said the event has grown into something much bigger than a simple car meet. He emphasised that it is about lifestyle, culture and community, all coming together on one rooftop against the Kuala Lumpur skyline. He also highlighted the ASTRA Cup and the inclusion of global media partners as signs that MotorManiac has moved from being a local gathering to one that is gaining attention on the international stage.

General admission tickets are priced at RM20. Entry is free for children under 12 and persons with disabilities.
