The programme is designed to support high-potential students across Perak in pursuing tertiary education, ensuring that financial limitations do not become a barrier to academic advancement. The initiative was officially launched by YB Dato’ Khairudin bin Abu Hanipah, Chairman of the Perak State Committee for Education, Higher Education, Youth and Sports, reflecting the state’s continued commitment to nurturing future talent and building a sustainable pipeline of skilled graduates. The event was also graced by members and associates of the Perak Royal Family, including Yang Mulia Raja Khalidatul Asrin Binti Raja Dato’ Shahabuddin, alongside Tn Ahmad Suhaimi Bin Dato Idris, Music Director of the Raja DiHilir Perak, underscoring the programme’s importance at both state and community levels. As the appointed strategic partner, Uni Enrol plays a central role in bridging opportunity gaps by providing end-to-end support for students, from advisory services and application guidance to university placement. The initiative is expected to offer 120 scholarships worth approximately RM2 million, connecting students to a network of 11 participating universities, including institutions such as HELP University, IMU University, SEGi University & Colleges, Multimedia University (MMU), Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR), and several other private higher education providers. YB Dato’ Khairudin bin Abu Hanipah, Chairman of the Perak State Committee for Education, Higher Education, Youth and Sports said: “Education remains one of the most important investments we can make for the future of Perak. Through the Program Biasiswa Potensi Anak Perak 2026, Uni Enrol brings its partner universities to provide dedicated, non-loan financial support to help deserving students in Perak to realise their aspirations and pursue their dream courses at top universities in Malaysia,” According to Rickson Khaw, Co-Founder and CEO of Uni Enrol, the programme goes beyond financial assistance, focusing instead on empowering students to make informed decisions about their academic and career pathways. He emphasised that the goal is to ensure students not only gain access to opportunities but also receive the clarity and confidence needed to pursue courses aligned with their aspirations and strengths. While the scholarship prioritises students from B40 households, it remains inclusive, extending opportunities to applicants with strong academic performance, achievements in sports, or those facing personal challenges. This inclusive approach reflects the belief that talent is widespread and opportunity should be accessible to all, regardless of background. Since its soft launch on the day of the SPM results announcement, the programme has received more than 800 applications. The selection process is currently underway, with the top 30 finalists being announced, followed by interviews and verification to determine the final 20 full scholarship recipients. Additional candidates will be considered for partial scholarships, with up to 100 awards available in total. Implemented over a three-year period, Program Biasiswa Potensi Anak Perak 2026 represents a long-term collaboration between the Perak State Government and Uni Enrol to develop not only academic potential but also holistic student growth. Through this partnership, both parties aim to strengthen Malaysia’s higher education landscape by ensuring students receive both financial support and structured guidance to succeed in their future endeavours.
