Samsung Malaysia Electronics is proud to have received the ESGBusiness Award 2025, a prestigious recognition that highlights the company’s strong commitment to sustainability, responsible innovation, and greener business practices. This milestone reflects the collective efforts of employees, partners, and customers who continue to support Samsung’s mission of creating a positive impact for both the environment and society.
Central to this achievement is Samsung Malaysia’s ESG roadmap, which has guided the introduction of impactful initiatives that bring meaningful change. One of the key focuses has been the movement towards paperless solutions and digitalization. By adopting digital innovations such as the e-queue service ticket, Samsung has encouraged customers to embrace paper-free processes while improving efficiency and reducing waste. Between 2022 and 2024, more than 359,000 transactions were shifted to paper-free alternatives, a shift that saved the equivalent of 35 trees and contributed to global environmental goals.
Another important initiative is Eco Repair, designed to extend the life cycle of electronic products while promoting affordable and sustainable repair solutions. This approach empowers customers to make greener decisions by choosing repair over replacement, which reduces e-waste and conserves valuable resources. From 2022 to 2024, Samsung repaired over 41,000 mobile devices and more than 18,000 televisions, helping to preserve an estimated 131,316 trees.
Samsung has also addressed the growing challenge of e-waste management with the introduction of Eco Recycle Boxes at service centers nationwide. These collection points provide a safe and convenient way for customers to dispose of old devices, tablets, and accessories responsibly. By the end of 2024, this initiative had collected nearly 139 kilograms of e-waste, ensuring that materials were recycled in an environmentally sound manner rather than ending up in landfills.

Every digital transaction, repaired device, and recycled gadget is part of a collective effort to build a greener future.
