Malaysia’s First Digital Talent Discovery Platform Unveiled by Lifetelco

SocialCeleb has officially launched Malaysia’s first digital talent discovery platform, marking a new chapter for the local entertainment industry. Accessible globally beginning 9 September 2025, this platform is designed to connect aspiring talents across the nation with some of the industry’s most established names, creating a structured pathway from digital access to real-world opportunities.

The launch event at PJPAC, 1 Utama, was celebrated with the presence of leading Star Mentors Dato’ Afdlin Shauki, Nabil Ahmad, Nabila Huda, and Dato’ Aaron Aziz. They were joined by Star Celebs Bella Astillah, Harszan, Satthiya Kandi, and Hubert Lee, whose participation further elevated the excitement surrounding the initiative.

Developed in collaboration with Lifetelco, SocialCeleb offers more than a talent search. With a one-time registration fee of RM110, members receive a Lifetelco SIM card with 110GB of data valid for two months, personal accident insurance worth RM50,000, access to OTT dramas and films, and direct entry to official audition opportunities. The platform also provides participants with exclusive workshops and mentorship sessions, ensuring that talents from all walks of life can gain proper guidance and exposure.

Saraleana Nattaya Azmi, Network Director of Lifetelco, highlighted that SocialCeleb is not only about technology but also about empowerment. She explained that the platform breaks financial and geographical barriers that have long limited rural or underrepresented individuals from stepping into the spotlight. According to her, SocialCeleb is designed as a long-term investment in Malaysians, ensuring that talent and determination, rather than background or location, become the key drivers of success.

Through a carefully structured program, Star Mentors will guide participants in preparing for auditions in films, drama series, and OTT projects. From workshops to personal sharing sessions, the initiative equips participants with practical knowledge and professional exposure, allowing them to move confidently from mobile screens to cinema screens.

Speaking at the launch, Dato’ Aaron Aziz expressed his gratitude for being part of the initiative. He emphasized that SocialCeleb is not only about discovering new faces but also about creating opportunities and opening doors for the next generation of talents. For him, this platform represents a chance to give back to an industry that shaped his career, by mentoring and nurturing aspiring entertainers into sustainable, long-term paths.

Dato’ Afdlin Shauki echoed this sentiment, noting that SocialCeleb is a serious and well-structured program that offers a true entry point into the entertainment industry. He explained that the combination of workshops, mentorship, and real projects will provide participants with skills, resilience, and the understanding needed for a lasting career rather than temporary recognition.

Nabil Ahmad, who also comes from a humble background, shared that the platform resonates deeply with him. He recalled how many individuals with immense talent often struggled to break through due to a lack of access or guidance. For him, SocialCeleb is more than a competition; it is a training ground that equips participants with exposure, mentorship, and access to real projects, creating a fair and inclusive system open to all Malaysians.

For Nabila Huda, the initiative represents a true form of social responsibility in the arts. She believes that SocialCeleb provides an equal stage for everyone to showcase their abilities regardless of their experience or background. She expressed her excitement to mentor participants, guiding them to recognize their strengths, refine their craft, and build the confidence needed to thrive in the industry.

Ultimately, SocialCeleb is a commitment to building a sustainable ecosystem for the future of Malaysian entertainment. With the backing of Lifetelco and the guidance of prominent figures, the platform combines technology, mentorship, and real projects to nurture local talents into global-ready professionals.
