Kuala Lumpur’s creative scene welcomes a new audiovisual experience as LLØØPP, a format created by Dutch-American artist and composer 0010×0010 (Ray Tijssen), launches its first residency at REXPERIENCE, the immersive digital-art gallery inside REXKL.
Produced by SQNXR and presented with Jazzy Group, LLØØPP began its soft opening on 12 October 2026, with its official launch scheduled for Saturday, 7 November. The residency will run until 12 April 2027, transforming REXPERIENCE’s 8,800-square-foot space into three distinct environments through original music and generative visuals.
Rather than a conventional exhibition, LLØØPP features three programmes, MORNING, DUSK and DANCE, each designed to create a different atmosphere within the same room. Every programme pairs an original ten-minute musical composition with a generative visual system developed from the same score, creating a continuous audiovisual loop.
MORNING offers a calm and contemplative environment suited to breathing exercises, stretching, yoga and meditation. DUSK creates a more social atmosphere for dining and conversation, while DANCE focuses on rhythm, movement and collective energy through electronic music.
Visitors can experience a complete cycle of each programme or remain for multiple loops within their booked session. Programme times follow REXPERIENCE’s published schedule.
According to 0010×0010, the concept explores how a single space can create different experiences without changing its physical structure. By composing music and visuals together, each programme changes how visitors perceive and interact with the environment.
Located within the former REX Cinema, REXPERIENCE already has the architectural and audiovisual infrastructure needed for the installation. LLØØPP builds on these existing features by integrating sound and visuals into the space, rather than requiring a purpose-built installation.
Joanne Goh, CEO of Jazzy Group and LLØØPP’s regional representative, said REXKL was a natural choice for the first residency because Kuala Lumpur audiences can move between wellness, dining and nightlife experiences within the same destination.
Following the launch, LLØØPP will remain at REXPERIENCE with scheduled presentations of MORNING, DUSK and DANCE. The format is also designed for ongoing programming across immersive venues, cultural spaces and hospitality settings, offering audiences different reasons to revisit the same location.
The official launch on 7 November will bring all three programmes together in a single day. Activities will begin with afternoon yoga and meditation through MORNING, followed by an early-evening dining programme featuring a special menu under DUSK. The day will conclude with a late-night electronic music programme featuring 0010×0010 under DANCE.
The residency continues Jazzy Group’s collaboration with 0010×0010, following Algorithmic Organisms 2.0 and the presentation of XINEMARTE at the ninth Malaysia International Film Festival (MIFFest) earlier this year.
LLØØPP is located at RXP.KL, The Digital Art Centre at REXKL, 80 Jalan Sultan, 50000 Kuala Lumpur. The exhibition runs from 12 October 2026 to 12 April 2027, with admission priced at RM45 per entry. Tickets are available through CloudJoi at www.cloudjoi.com.
The venue operates from 6pm to 8pm Monday to Thursday, 6pm to 10pm Friday and Saturday, and 2pm to 8pm on Sunday. Visitors are advised to check the booking schedule for their preferred date, as programme timings and special-event hours may vary.
