The Kuala Lumpur Tower Run International Challenge 2025 (KLTRIC2025) returns to thrill runners and fitness enthusiasts as the official Malaysia Towerrunning National Championship, taking place on 30 November 2025. Organised by LSH Service Master Sdn. Bhd., the event celebrates its 23rd edition as a Heritage Sport of Kuala Lumpur Tower, cementing its legacy as a world-class vertical race. The challenge, under the theme “Victory is Vertical”, invites approximately 1,500 participants to climb 1,608 steps to the top of Malaysia’s iconic tower, a true test of stamina, resilience, and determination. Highlighting past achievements, Michele Tan Bee Kiang previously set a Guinness World Record for the fastest vertical mile, climbing the Tower 6.5 times consecutively, reflecting the Tower’s mission to promote elite sports tourism while supporting initiatives like Visit Malaysia 2026.
KLTRIC2025 aligns with Malaysia’s national goals of promoting fitness, active participation, and sports excellence, as part of the “Sukan Untuk Semua” initiative and the National Sports Vision 2030. The race is recognised as a Towerrunning World Association (TWA) Points Race, attracting top international athletes alongside Malaysia’s world No.1 tower runner Soh Wai Ching. Competitors can enter divisions for Open, Youth, Veteran, and Elite runners, with the top 20 finishers in each category receiving the Official Finisher Jersey, and the fastest Malaysian elite male and female crowned as National Champions. Backed by major partners including Turkish Airlines, Tourism Malaysia, and JomRun, KLTRIC2025 also features extensive collaboration with government agencies, emergency services, and sponsors, ensuring a safe and world-class sporting experience for participants, while showcasing Kuala Lumpur as a global destination for action and adventure sports.
