The surge of live-stream e-commerce and social commerce has created a booming marketplace, but it has also opened doors for unethical sellers to exploit consumers seeking luxury goods. Many deceitful businesses have taken advantage of this trend, selling counterfeit products at high prices while pretending they are genuine.
To address this growing concern, the International Luxury Brands Authentication Institute (ILBAI) has scheduled a press conference on 6 March 2025 at Barrister’s Brew, Desa Sri Hartamas. The event aims to expose the fraudulent operations of “The High Table” and “Unboxing,” two platforms that have been misleading consumers and engaging in unethical business practices.
According to multiple consumer complaints, Aw Chee Koon, the person behind “The High Table” and “Unboxing,” has been selling counterfeit luxury goods under the guise of authenticity. When customers question the legitimacy of their purchases or request refunds, they are met with threats and intimidation to silence them.
Despite numerous reports, “The High Table” and “Unboxing” remain active across various social media and e-commerce platforms. Their deceptive tactics include using fake accounts to manipulate sales records during live-stream events and spreading misinformation to discredit victims who speak out.

Victims who sought refunds after purchasing counterfeit items from “The High Table” and “Unboxing” were frequently denied their requests. Some even received threats and were subjected to malicious defamation. In extreme cases, these platforms allegedly filed false police reports against victims to suppress their voices and discourage further complaints.
In response to these fraudulent activities, ILBAI has officially filed a lawsuit against “The High Table” and “Unboxing,” along with their responsible parties. To safeguard consumer rights and maintain the integrity of the luxury goods industry, ILBAI will offer free authentication services to all affected buyers. The institute will also provide legal assistance to victims and conduct a thorough investigation into the unlawful operations of these platforms.
ILBAI urges consumers to be cautious when purchasing luxury goods online and to report any suspicious sellers to the appropriate authorities. The institute remains dedicated to fostering a trustworthy marketplace, free from deception and fraud.
For more updates on the press conference and legal proceedings, ILBAI encourages consumers to follow their official channels. Victims are urged to seek assistance if they believe they have been misled into purchasing counterfeit luxury goods.
Together, we can put an end to luxury counterfeit scams and protect consumer rights worldwide.
