Chengdu, 8 April 2026. The 12th Chengdu International Trade Fair for Automotive Parts and Aftermarket Services (CAPAS Chengdu) will take place at the Chengdu Century City New International Exhibition and Convention Center from 21 to 23 May 2026. Aligned with the upgrading landscape, evolving consumer preferences, and rising demand in Southwest China’s automotive industry, the 53,000 sqm exhibition is expected to attract more than 790 domestic and international exhibitors. This year’s edition will highlight new energy vehicles, connected and commercial vehicles, and automotive customisation through product showcases and fringe events, further strengthening its position as a key platform for collaboration, integration, and industry development across Sichuan and Chongqing.
Mr James Yu, General Manager of Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) Co Ltd, said: “CAPAS focuses on the collaborative and sustainable development of Southwest China’s automotive industry. With the rapid rise of new energy vehicles (NEVs) and intelligent connected technologies, the exhibition serves not only as a product showcase but also as a platform for cooperation and transformation, helping companies identify emerging trends and opportunities. This edition will emphasise supply chain coordination, commercial vehicle electrification, aftermarket upgrades, as well as the region’s motorsports and automotive culture. Through curated zones and interactive activities, we aim to foster innovation and strengthen international partnerships in Southwest China.”
Driving transformation through specialised product showcases, the Sichuan-Chongqing region has emerged as China’s third-largest automotive cluster and a key NEV hub. In 2025, Sichuan recorded a 142.6% year-on-year increase in production, with new energy heavy-duty trucks accounting for 7.3% of the national total. Chongqing’s vehicle ownership has surpassed 6 million units, supporting an aftermarket valued at approximately RMB 85 billion (around USD 12 billion), while Sichuan’s vehicle parc is projected to exceed 18.5 million units by 2027, with aftermarket potential reaching RMB 700 billion (around USD 100 billion).
As a rapidly growing automotive hub, the region continues to require further technological advancement and closer integration across manufacturing, distribution, and services. With its strong industry influence, CAPAS serves as a key platform to support and accelerate this development.
For example, the Commercial Vehicle Zone will focus on electrification components, aftermarket parts, and repair technologies. Chenglong will present heavy-duty trucks featuring lightweight design and intelligent thermal management, while Foton will showcase light-duty trucks designed for cold chain logistics, express delivery, last-mile distribution, and smart logistics solutions. First-time exhibitor Fuda will also present drivetrain components for electric commercial vehicles.
In the Parts & Components Sourcing Zone, a dedicated Chassis Display Area will address the evolving passenger car market and growing maintenance demand, featuring NEV air-suspension compressors from Ironstamp and high-performance braking systems from LPR. Other exhibitors including Jrone, Phoenix, Shenghuabo, Songtian Motor, TEMB, Yihong, and Zoren will also participate, alongside practical training sessions. The Remanufacturing Display Area will highlight companies such as Chongqing Yuxiang, Xinjiang Tongfeng, and Zhongqi, showcasing green circular economy solutions aligned with China’s 2030 carbon peak goals.
Further innovations will be presented in the New Energy and Intelligent Connectivity Zone, featuring charging solutions and thermal management components. Nengtong will introduce 5G fast-charging equipment and AC/DC charging piles, while Oulang will showcase EV coolants. Meanwhile, the Chengdu-Chongqing Dual-City Economic Rim Zone will highlight regional industrial clusters, including Nanchong’s commercial vehicle powertrains, Yibin’s battery industry, Guang’an’s green energy equipment, and Ziyang’s hydrogen supply chain. The Repair Zone will also reflect intelligent and sustainable development, with exhibitors such as STELLAR presenting eco-friendly car washing and EV repair solutions.
The Accessories & Customising Zone will showcase lubricants, care products, and performance accessories for end users. Highlights include OFFROAD SKYLINE’s aluminium-magnesium skid plates, Jiale’s pickup covers for enhanced cargo capacity, and Xinhui’s TiN VR series films. The Car Customising Festival will combine Southwest China’s cultural elements with interactive experiences such as simulators, vintage car displays, tyre-change demonstrations, and talks on drifting, off-roading, and vehicle modification.
In conjunction with the exhibition, CAPAS will host 25 concurrent events covering supply chains, OEM-supplier collaboration, aftermarket development, the green circular economy, talent development, commercial vehicles, and automotive culture. The China Automotive Supply Chain and New Energy Vehicle International Cooperation Conference will bring together government officials, trade associations, and industry leaders to discuss supply chain challenges, electrification, and intelligent mobility. Additionally, the Chengdu–Chongqing Automotive Industry Cooperation Conference will enhance regional coordination across supply chains, fleet operations, R&D, financing, charging infrastructure, and battery swapping systems.
Building on these initiatives, the inaugural Southwest New Energy Commercial Vehicle Services Conference will explore developments in the NEV commercial vehicle sector, with discussions on operational efficiency, aftermarket services, and logistics innovations involving manufacturers, logistics companies, and charging and battery-swapping operators.
CAPAS will also promote international collaboration through a VIP Buyers Business Matching Programme, connecting overseas buyers from emerging markets such as Southeast Asia with exhibitors to enhance trade and investment opportunities. The CAPAS Discovery Tour will showcase Chengdu’s cultural and industrial highlights, while the New Energy Vehicle Industry-Education Integration Zone will bridge industry and academia to support talent development and NEV aftermarket training.
