As China accelerates its initiatives to improve energy efficiency and achieve carbon neutrality, the 22nd edition of Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology (GEBT) will be held from 9 – 12 June 2025 at the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou. Running alongside the Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition (GILE), this year’s event will focus on green and low-carbon advancements in intelligent building, featuring smart power distribution, lighting, home automation, and sustainable building solutions.
In 2024, the Chinese government introduced policies to promote intelligent technologies that support the low-carbon transformation of various industries. These efforts prioritize low-energy buildings, advanced power supply systems, and sustainable living. The National Development and Reform Commission of China, in partnership with other departments, has issued guidelines encouraging the widespread adoption of green building technologies in construction and clean energy sectors to create healthier living environments.
Ms Lucia Wong, General Manager of Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, highlighted the impact of emerging technologies on the industry. She stated, “The rapid evolution of 5G, artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), and the metaverse is driving unprecedented innovation. As a key industry platform, GEBT 2025 will present new opportunities in low-carbon intelligent building and smart power distribution, fostering a more sustainable future.” Dedicated exhibition zones will showcase the latest advancements in energy-saving and low-carbon building technologies.
This year’s exhibition will feature new thematic zones focusing on energy innovations. The Smart Power Distribution Zone will showcase systems and technologies related to smart power distribution, hybrid power supply, integrated power generation, grid management, and renewable energy solutions. The Generic Cabling Zone will highlight cabling applications in intelligent buildings, home automation, and IoT technology. The Building Control and Energy Management Zone will present building monitoring systems, energy-saving solutions, energy storage technologies, and power quality management tools. Additionally, the Intelligent Building Supply Chain Consulting Zone will offer industry professionals valuable insights and resources.
To facilitate knowledge exchange, GEBT 2025 will partner with Qianjia Smartech to host engaging forums featuring industry experts. Key topics will include AI applications in intelligent building, dual-carbon strategy trends, smart commercial space, and home automation. Major events will include the China (Guangzhou) Integrators’ Conference 2025, which will bring together integrators, government officials, project managers, architects, and industry professionals to explore cost-saving and efficiency-enhancing intelligent system integration. The Low-Carbon Intelligent Building Summit 2025 will discuss AI-driven energy-saving strategies, automation advancements, and the latest trends in intelligent building technologies. Emerging Trends & Highlights in Intelligent Building 2025 will introduce new products, technologies, and solutions, along with case studies showcasing real-world applications. Additionally, the AI+ Low-Carbon Intelligent Building Summit will explore AI-driven business models supporting green and intelligent transformations.
GEBT 2025 continues to serve as a catalyst for cross-sector collaboration, offering exhibitors a dynamic platform to showcase their latest innovations and services. The exhibition is part of Messe Frankfurt’s Light + Building Technology fairs, including the biennial Light + Building event in Frankfurt, Germany, scheduled for 8 – 13 March 2026.
Messe Frankfurt also organizes a range of specialized trade fairs in Asia, such as Shanghai Intelligent Building Technology, Shanghai Smart Home Technology, and Parking China. The company’s lighting and building technology exhibitions extend to markets in Argentina, India, Türkiye, the UAE, and the USA.
