Global Turbine Asia Sdn. Bhd. (GTA), a Malaysia-based maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) provider for aircraft engines and a certified Maintenance Centre for Safran Helicopter Engines, has formalised three strategic collaborations with Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM), AMRACE Sdn Bhd, and PT3 Consultant Sdn Bhd. These partnerships aim to strengthen Malaysia’s aerospace talent ecosystem by integrating academic development, structured training, and workforce transition pathways. The agreements reflect GTA’s ongoing efforts to bridge the gap between education and industry requirements in the aerospace sector. Each partner plays a distinct role in supporting this objective, with UTeM contributing academic alignment and curriculum relevance, while AMRACE and PT3 focus on structured training delivery, skills enhancement, and workforce readiness programmes. The initiative also places strong emphasis on supporting Malaysian veterans in transitioning into civilian technical careers. Through its collaboration with AMRACE, GTA is supporting the implementation of a structured 14-week training programme that combines theoretical learning with practical exposure. The programme is designed to facilitate recruitment, training, certification, and job placement, enabling a more seamless transition for candidates entering the aerospace workforce. GTA will assist in candidate sourcing and employer engagement, while AMRACE manages training execution and assessment. The partnership with PT3 Consultant Sdn Bhd further strengthens this ecosystem by enhancing technical training delivery and competency development. This includes structured certification preparation, apprenticeship programmes, and hands-on learning initiatives that aim to improve workforce readiness and long-term employability within the aerospace sector.
