MPH Bookstores Opens Its Doors at Alamanda Shopping Centre, Putrajaya

MPH Alamanda

MPH Bookstores, a beloved name in Malaysia’s book retail industry, has officially launched its 10th outlet at the Alamanda Shopping Centre. This new location represents the brand’s dedication to inspiring a love for books, learning, and creativity within the community.

The grand opening ceremony of MPH Alamanda was graced by Yang Berhormat Fadhlina Sidek, Minister of Education, alongside Putrajaya’s Director of Education, Tuan Haji Ezaiddin Hussain, and MPH Bookstores CEO Martin Cross. The event welcomed book enthusiasts, MPH MRewards members, local publishers, media representatives, and students from 16 primary schools in Putrajaya, making it a true celebration of literature and education.

Highlighting the occasion was a special presentation of gifts to attending students, led by YB Fadhlina and Tuan Haji Ezaiddin, reinforcing MPH’s commitment to fostering young minds.

Spanning 5,000 square feet, the Alamanda outlet reflects MPH’s contemporary design ethos, first introduced at its flagship store in The Exchange TRX earlier this year. The new space combines natural wood elements with sleek bronze accents, creating a welcoming environment for readers and families.

The store offers a thoughtfully curated selection of books and products catering to diverse interests and age groups. The vibrant children’s section invites young readers to embark on imaginative journeys through books and activities designed to spark creativity. Adults can explore a wide range of fiction and non-fiction titles, from English and Malay novels to self-help, business, and historical works.

Speaking at the event, CEO Martin Cross expressed excitement about returning to Alamanda. “We’re thrilled to be back in this location, stronger than ever. Our reopening here is a significant milestone in MPH’s journey of renewal and resurgence, following the success of our flagship store at The Exchange TRX,” said Cross.

He added, “This new store signifies our commitment to once again being Malaysia’s leading bookstore chain, bringing an unmatched collection of books, gifts, and educational resources to our loyal customers.”

The Alamanda store features:

  • A broad collection of Malay and English books, including bestsellers, children’s classics, graphic novels, and educational resources.
  • Specialty categories such as Islamic references, business and management, memoirs, and more.
  • An array of lifestyle and gift items, including products from the Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia.
  • Stationery, office supplies, and educational toys and games.

Visitors can also join the MPH MRewards membership programme, gaining access to exclusive discounts, monthly promotions, and special birthday offers.
