Vivo has officially introduced OriginOS 7 in Shanghai, setting a new standard for a smartly smooth smartphone experience. Built to optimize touch responsiveness, fluid motion, and peak performance under heavy processing loads, the operating system is engineered to maintain its day one responsiveness even after six years of regular use, backed by rigorous 72 month anti-aging laboratory tests. For the Malaysian market, the upcoming vivo X500 Series will be the first device lineup to launch with OriginOS 7 out of the box, with rollouts to follow for existing X Series flagships, followed by the mainstream V and Y Series models. At the core of the system’s performance gains is the next generation Origin Smooth Engine, which overhauls graphics computation, memory management, and process scheduling. Powered by Ultra-Core Computing, Memory Fusion, and Dual Rendering, OriginOS 7 achieves a 10% reduction in cold app launch times, an 11% improvement in page transitions, and can reclaim up to 25 GB of additional storage on a 256 GB device. These architectural upgrades power Origin Workbench, a feature that enables true desktop style multitasking on a mobile form factor by allowing users to manage up to five active applications simultaneously within a unified task space. Aesthetics and navigation receive a tactile overhaul via Origin Animation, which applies physical momentum and natural dynamics to screen gestures. Technologies like Fluid Motion and Spring Animation let on screen elements bounce, stretch, and flow like liquid, matching the speed and direction of finger inputs. Personalization is similarly expanded with dynamic visual features, the Wiggle Theme turns photos into interactive touch sensitive surfaces, the Glint Theme shifts wallpaper lighting using the device’s gyroscope, StickIt provides layered lock screen collages, and Pet Pals introduces animated companion widgets that adapt to daily routines and device states. Addressing multi device lifestyles, OriginOS 7 breaks traditional platform barriers by introducing native cross ecosystem connectivity, featuring direct pairing with Apple Watch for notifications and health metrics, AirPods integration with live telemetry, and direct file access to iCloud storage through the vivo File Manager. This workflow is coordinated by Jovi, vivo’s cross-device personal AI agent integrated with vivo Office Kit across iPad, Mac, and Windows PC. Alongside Snap Note which uses AI structural recognition to convert photos of whiteboards and documents into editable rich text Jovi executes autonomous cross device retrieval and scheduled tasks while maintaining user privacy and authorization via Jovi Security.
