Visit Malaysia 2026 Showcases the Nation’s Culinary Heritage Through Inside Scoop’s “Rasa-Rasa Malaysia” Campaign

In conjunction with the nationwide Visit Malaysia 2026 (VM2026) campaign, Tourism Malaysia is proud to support the launch of Inside Scoop’s “Rasa-Rasa Malaysia” collection. This innovative initiative showcases Malaysia’s rich cultural diversity through a series of locally inspired ice cream flavours. The campaign was officially launched by Mr. Wizani Rosmin, Senior Director of Management at Tourism Malaysia, at the Inside Scoop outlet in Taman Tun Dr Ismail.

This collaboration reflects Tourism Malaysia’s ongoing commitment to highlighting authentic Malaysian experiences and promoting domestic tourism in the lead-up to VM2026. It also underscores the importance of strong partnerships between the public and private sectors in advancing the nation’s tourism agenda.

Strategically, the initiative aligns with VM2026’s objective of positioning Malaysia as a culturally rich destination where food serves as a powerful storytelling medium. By translating state identities into enjoyable treats, the campaign encourages both domestic and international tourists to explore Malaysia’s regions through their unique local flavours.

The “Rasa-Rasa Malaysia” collection features six limited-edition flavours, each inspired by the heritage and identity of different Malaysian states. This sensory journey includes bold Liberica coffee from Johor, rich dark chocolate from Kelantan, and the iconic dodol durian from Melaka. It also highlights the distinctive gula apong of Sarawak, the nostalgic “Kaw Dinosaur” representing Kuala Lumpur and Selangor, and the refreshing strawberries of Cameron Highlands in Pahang.

To further engage visitors, the campaign introduces interactive elements such as a limited-edition “Ice Cream Passport” and a stamp rally. This concept mirrors the spirit of discovery, encouraging guests to explore multiple Inside Scoop outlets nationwide while reinforcing the VM2026 message of travel and exploration.

The collection will be available at all Inside Scoop outlets nationwide from 6 April to 11 May 2026. Tourism Malaysia welcomes further collaboration from industry stakeholders to create unique, experience-driven campaigns that strengthen Malaysia’s position as a must-visit global destination. • Celebrating 68 Years of Merdeka, Inside Scoop Unveils Six Lokal Legends Inspired by Iconic Malaysian Brands

Celebrating 68 Years of Merdeka, Inside Scoop Unveils Six Lokal Legends Inspired by Iconic Malaysian Brands

Inside Scoop, Malaysia’s very own ice cream brand, is ringing in the nation’s 68th Merdeka with the second chapter of its Lokal Legends collection. This time, six new flavours created in collaboration with some of the country’s most loved brands are making their debut, each one turning nostalgic favourites into indulgent scoops. Since opening its doors in Bangsar back in 2013, Inside Scoop has stayed true to its promise of being made in Malaysia for Malaysians, creating over 200 flavours inspired by snacks, drinks and desserts that bring people together across generations.

The 2025 line-up offers a playful twist on familiar tastes. Gardenia Twiggies Choc-A-Lot transforms the classic childhood treat into a creamy milk chocolate ice cream with generous chunks of Twiggies. GSC Caramel Popcorn captures the joy of movie nights with popcorn ice cream layered with salted caramel and pecans. Julie’s Le-mond Lemon delivers a tangy kick by blending lemon ice cream with the brand’s iconic sandwich crackers and a ripple of citrus curd. Beryl’s Gula Melaka Chocolate combines rich gula melaka chocolate ice cream with crunchy chocolate and buttery crumble, bringing a local touch to a decadent dessert. ZUS Coffee Spanish Latté reimagines the signature drink as espresso-infused milk ice cream with condensed milk and crunchy chocolate-dipped cones. Farm Fresh Choco Malt Kaw levels up last year’s favourite with bold chocolate swirls and crispy malt soil, made with Farm Fresh’s much-loved choco malt drink.

Co-founder Edmund Tan describes this year’s Lokal Legends as a tribute to Malaysia, celebrating the snacks and flavours Malaysians grew up with while turning them into something fresh and unique. From a single store in Bangsar to over 60 outlets nationwide, Inside Scoop has always been about creating ice cream that Malaysians can proudly call their own.

To mark the occasion, each scoop will be served in a specially designed cup sleeve showcasing the partner brand’s colours and the Lokal Legends logo, making it a fun collectible this Merdeka season. The flavours can be enjoyed individually or as part of a limited Lokal Legends Party Pack priced at RM68.

The Lokal Legends 2025 collection will be available across all Inside Scoop outlets nationwide from 18 August to 21 September 2025. For more updates on the flavours and other new launches, follow @myinsidescoop on Instagram and Facebook, and @insidescoopmy on TikTok.
