  • The Lion King Roars to Life in Malaysia with a Spectacular 72-Piece Orchestra

    Malaysia will host Disney’s The Lion King Live in Concert for the first time, marking a landmark collaboration with Istana Budaya’s National Symphony Orchestra in conjunction with Visit Malaysia 2026. The event will take place on 13 June 2026 at the KLCC Plenary Hall. Presented by Milestone Production, this spectacular showcase brings Disney’s beloved 1994 animated masterpiece to life in a breathtaking live-to-film concert experience.

    Disney fans in Malaysia will relive the magic of the Pride Lands as the full film is screened on the big screen, accompanied by a 72-piece orchestra performing the iconic score live in perfect synchronisation with the film, creating an immersive cinematic experience like no other. This world-class production will be performed by the National Symphony Orchestra Malaysia under the baton of Resident Conductor Eric Lee, who is recognised and approved by Disney Concerts for his technical precision, musical excellence and ability to meet international performance standards.

    The orchestra will bring to life the iconic score by a distinguished team of Oscar and Grammy-winning talents, including composer Hans Zimmer, songwriters Elton John and Tim Rice, as well as South African music producer and composer Lebo M, whose voice and musical influence have become synonymous with The Lion King. Since its original release in 1994 by Walt Disney Animation Studios, the film has captivated millions worldwide with its timeless story of courage, love and destiny. From the powerful opening of “Circle of Life” to the joyful “Hakuna Matata” and the romantic “Can You Feel the Love Tonight,” the unforgettable soundtrack performed live will transport audiences deep into the African savannah, making this a must-see experience for families, friends and Disney fans of all ages.

    Disney Jr. Live On Tour: Let’s Play! hadir dengan persembahan penuh warna-warni yang memikat hati penonton. Pada malam 29 Ogos lalu, pentas Arena of Stars, Resorts World Genting bertukar menjadi dunia ajaib dengan muzik, tarian dan kemunculan watak kegemaran yang meninggalkan memori indah buat kanak-kanak serta ibu bapa.

    Seawal tirai dibuka, suasana menjadi hidup dengan aksi penuh tenaga daripada DJ Disney Junior. Sorakan bergema apabila Mickey Mouse tampil di pentas, membuka jalan kepada sebuah perjalanan hiburan yang sarat dengan nyanyian, tarian, permainan interaktif dan belon.

    Pelbagai karakter Disney menghiburkan penonton sepanjang malam, antaranya Goofy, Ariel dari The Little Mermaid, SuperKitties dan banyak lagi. Minnie Mouse pula menerima sambutan paling meriah sewaktu muncul dalam segmen belon yang mencetuskan keterujaan.

    Selepas waktu rehat, dewan kembali gamat dengan kehadiran istimewa Spider-Man. Penampilan wira ini mencuri perhatian dan membuat penonton kagum, sekali gus melengkapkan sesi penuh keseronokan.

    Setiap detik dipenuhi dengan lagu ceria, tarian menarik dan kesan khas yang menawan. Kanak-kanak terpesona melihat aksi di pentas manakala ibu bapa turut sama bernyanyi dan bertepuk tangan, menjadikan persembahan ini sebagai pengalaman keluarga yang bermakna.

    Menurut penerbit Jonathan Shank dari Terrapin Station Entertainment, beliau sangat gembira melihat sambutan hangat penonton Malaysia. Katanya, persembahan ini berjaya menghadirkan pengalaman yang akan terus diingati oleh generasi muda.
