NTT DATA has announced an expanded collaboration with Google Cloud aimed at helping enterprises move beyond AI experimentation and accelerate the large-scale deployment of agentic AI solutions powered by Gemini Enterprise. The initiative marks a significant step in enabling organizations to transform business operations, enhance customer experiences and unlock greater value from artificial intelligence.

The collaboration combines Google Cloud’s advanced AI, data and cloud capabilities with NTT DATA’s extensive expertise in strategy, implementation, adoption and managed services. Together, the two companies will support enterprises in integrating AI into core business workflows, improving productivity, speeding up time-to-value and ensuring governance, security, compliance and responsible AI practices remain at the forefront of deployment.

As part of the expanded partnership, NTT DATA will establish a dedicated global Gemini Enterprise practice designed to help organizations accelerate AI adoption and scale AI-driven innovation. The company plans to certify 5,000 Gemini Enterprise experts worldwide, supported by joint training programs, technical enablement, engineering resources and go-to-market initiatives developed in collaboration with Google Cloud.

A key highlight of the initiative is the joint roadmap to co-develop and deploy up to 500 AI agents across a wide range of industries and enterprise functions. These AI agents will be designed to automate workflows, improve operational efficiency and support business transformation in sectors such as banking, insurance, manufacturing, retail, marketing, procurement and finance.

To support implementation, NTT DATA and Google Cloud will establish integrated engineering and innovation teams consisting of AI specialists, industry experts and forward-deployed engineers who will work directly with clients. These teams will help organizations accelerate solution development, streamline deployments and address technical challenges in real time, enabling faster adoption of AI at enterprise scale.

The partnership will also focus on creating reusable AI assets and industry-specific solutions that can reduce deployment complexity and accelerate business outcomes. In addition, the program emphasizes secure, sovereign and compliant AI deployments, ensuring organizations can meet regulatory requirements and data residency obligations while leveraging the benefits of advanced AI technologies.

According to Abhijit Dubey, CEO and Chief AI Officer of NTT DATA Inc., many organizations recognize the potential of AI but face challenges in scaling adoption across the enterprise. He noted that the expanded collaboration with Google Cloud will help clients move beyond pilot projects and embed AI into everyday business operations, creating a faster and lower-risk path to digital transformation.

Matt Renner, President and Chief Revenue Officer of Google Cloud, highlighted the growing demand for AI agents capable of transforming critical business processes. He emphasized that the combination of Google Cloud’s AI platform and NTT DATA’s global delivery capabilities will provide organizations with the expertise and resources needed to deploy sophisticated AI solutions on a global scale.

The announcement comes at a time when demand for AI and cloud technologies continues to grow. According to a recent NTT DATA client survey, 99 percent of enterprises reported that AI is increasing the need for cloud investment, while 88 percent indicated that current cloud spending levels may be insufficient to support AI, cloud-native and modernization initiatives effectively.

By expanding their collaboration, NTT DATA and Google Cloud aim to bridge the gap between AI ambition and execution, enabling enterprises to harness the full potential of artificial intelligence while building secure, scalable and future-ready digital operations.
