Realme Design Studio has collaborated with world-renowned designers like Naoto Fukasawa and Jose Levy, to produce trendsetting Realme products.In terms of design, Realme has won the prestigious Red Dot Design Award for its X2 Pro Master, issuing a strong challenge to incumbent brands. Realme has pioneered innovations not only in design but also in technology, most notably when it launched the world’s first 125W fast charging technology.

  • AmBank Group Signs Financing Facilities with Lagenda Properties Berhad

    AmBank Group has signed a loan facility and final financing agreement with Lagenda Properties Berhad, formerly known as D.B.E. Gurney Resources Berhad. The official document exchange ceremony was held today at the Sheraton Hotel in Petaling Jaya. Also represented by AmBank Group are Mr Christopher Yap, Managing Director, Business Banking while Lagenda Properties Berhad is represented by its Managing Director, Dato ’Jimmy Doh Jee Ming. The document exchange ceremony was witnessed by the Chairman of AmBank (M) Berhad, Mr. Voon Seng Chuan, Non-Independent Non-Executive Chairman of Legend Properties, Dato ‘Marcus Doh Tee Leong and AmBank Group Chief Executive Officer, Dato’ Sulaiman Mohd Tahir.

    Lagenda Properties Berhad has its name changed recently from D.B.E. Gurney Resources Berhad, with an unchanged stock code. With the acquisition of three companies namely, Blossom Eastland Sdn Bhd, Rantau Urusan (M) Sdn Bhd and Yik Wang Trading Sdn Bhd completed on 12 August 2020, the affordable housing development arm has scaled up significantly with a remaining aggregate gross development value of approximately RM2.1 billion, unbilled sales of RM532 million together with a sizeable landbank of around 1,200 acres to be developed. Lagenda Properties now has two major affordable housing township projects known as Bandar Baru Setia Awan Perdana and Lagenda Teluk Intan.

    Since 2012, AmBank Business Banking division has approved a total of RM480 million loan facility, including the recent facility amounting RM150 million. AmBank Business Banking division aims to maintain its position as Lagenda’s primary financing partner in Lagenda’s next growth phase. In addition, we are looking to expand our facilities to Lagenda’s business partners including their contractors and suppliers with our working capital and contract financing facilities.

    Meanwhile, AmBank Retail Banking is looking to approve up to RM300 million worth of end financing for the group’s various ongoing and future project. This includes the building of the first three phases of new township – Lagenda Teluk Intan with an estimated 6,390 units of affordable homes.

    AmInvestment Bank Berhad is the Principal Adviser to Lagenda Properties for their recent acquisition of real estate assets worth a total of approximately RM823 million, with AmInvestment also being the sole Placement Agent for Lagenda Properties’ upcoming placement exercise.

    The eKYC process will also upgrade users’ wallets from Basic to Premium, enabling users to benefit from the full range of functions and features Boost has to offer, including a larger wallet size of RM4,999.

    WUIF jadi pusat rujukan ilmu al-Quran

    SHAH ALAM – Yayasan Warisan Ummah Ikhlas (WUIF) bakal memiliki pusat perkembangan ilmu al-Quran atau dikenali World Quranic Centre of Excellence bagi menyebarkan ilmu al-Quran ke seluruh dunia.

    Pengasas WUIF, Datuk Dr Hussamuddin Yaacub berkata, pihaknya kini dalam proses mereka bentuk bangunan selain menunggu kelulusan pihak berkaitan.

    “World Quranic Centre of Excellence bakal dibina awal tahun depan di Seksyen 14, Bangi dengan keluasan kira-kira 0.6 hektar.

    “Kita anggarkan kerja-kerja pembinaannya mengambil masa 18 bulan hingga dua tahun,” katanya.

    Beliau berkata demikian selepas Majlis Penyerahan Bingkisan Wakaf Al-Quran Buat Ummah My #Qurantime di Kumpulan Karangkraf di sini.

    Hadir sama Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif WUIF, Marhaini Yusoff dan Ketua Pegawai Penyelidik WUIF, Fazrul Ismail.

    Hussamuddin berkata, pusat ilmu berasaskan wakaf yang menghimpunkan terbitan mengenai al-Quran itu bakal menjadi rujukan umat Islam dan juga bukan Islam seantero dunia.

    “Kita mahu mewujudkan satu pusat ilmu al-Quran sebagai satu tempat bagaimana ilmu al-Quran itu dapat dikongsi dengan khalayak masyarakat dalam bentuk yang lebih berkesan dan bermakna termasuk terbitan digital yang akan membuat kupasan-kupasan ilmu al-Quran dalam pelbagai bentuk dan aspek.

    “Ia juga bagi memudahkan umat Islam dan bukan Islam di seluruh dunia memahami isi kandungan kitab suci itu dalam pelbagai bahasa yang cukup mudah.

    “Selain itu ia turut dijadikan pusat penyelidikan untuk menghasilkan bahan-bahan dakwah serta kempen untuk berinteraksi dengan al-Quran,” katanya.

    Beliau yang juga Pengerusi TV AlHijrah berkata, ini adalah langkah oleh pihaknya untuk memperluaskan lagi misi MengQurankan Bangsa Mengikhlaskan Ummah dalam mendidik masyarakat cintakan al-Quran.

    “Kita berharap nilai yang terkandung di dalam al-Quran akan menjadi sistem operasi dan corak pemikiran untuk umat Islam benar-benar mengamalkan ajaran Islam sebagai panduan hidup.

    “Gerakan kami membangunkan satu ekosistem semua umat Islam yang baca al-Quran, faham dan seterusnya amal,” katanya.

    Ditanya mengenai program Wakaf Al-Quran Untuk Ummah (WAU), Hussamuddin berkata, projek berkenaan kini memasuki fasa ketiga dan mendapat sambutan menggalakkan daripada pewakaf termasuk dari Singapura, Brunei, Indonesia dan Australia.

    “Bagi fasa pertama dan kedua, sebanyak 114,795 naskhah al-Quran sudah diagihkan kepada petugas barisan hadapan di lokasi terpilih di seluruh negara.

    “Sehingga hari ini, WUIF menerima sumbangan sebanyak 6,254 set wakaf al-Quran untuk fasa ketiga dan pengagihannya bermula awal Ogos lalu.

    “Melalui projek ini, kita mahu sudut bacaan al-Quran diwujudkan oleh penerima wakaf di lokasi masing-masing bagi memudahkan orang ramai berinteraksi dengan al-Quran melalui baca, faham dan amal,” katanya.

    Sementara itu, Marhaini berkata, WAU bukannya sekadar wakaf, sebaliknya merupakan agenda terbesar menuju tahun 1500H bagi menukar fikiran dan ekosistem untuk kembali kepada al-Quran di dalam menguruskan keluarga, organisasi, komuniti dan negara.

    “Kita mahu melahirkan lebih ramai rakyat yang mempunyai jiwa pengasih dan pemaaf, berdisiplin, berinovasi, berintegriti tinggi dan cakna sesama kerana mereka tahu serta sedar tugas mereka sebagai hamba dan khalifah ALLAH SWT di muka bumi.

    “Orang Islam yang amalkan al-Quran, dengan sendirinya karakter akan berubah, nilai-nilai berubah dan akan beri kesan kepada hubungan dengan manusia, bila jadi ketua keluarga dia akan jadi yang terbaik, bila jadi ayah jadi ayah yang lebih baik dan lebih bertanggungjawab,” katanya.

  • Tindakan Penguatkuasaan oleh KPDNHEP terhadap Pemilik Premis dan Bangunan (Landlord Liability) yang Membenarkan Perniagaan Barangan Tiruan dan Cetak Rompak

    Kuala Lumpur– Bahagian Penguat Kuasa, Kementerian Perdagangan Dalam Negeri Dan Hal Ehwal Pengguna (KPDNHEP) sentiasa memberikan perlindungan hak intelek bagi melindungi pemilik industri kreatif daripada pencabulan hak intelek mereka menerusi penjualan barangan tiruan dan cetak rompak.

    Walaupun kerajaan ingin merancakkan semula aktiviti ekonomi domestik setelah krisis pandemik Covid-19 yang telah dihadapi oleh negara, aktiviti perniagaan yang menyalahi undang-undang harta intelek tetaplah dilarang. Di samping itu, KPDNHEP akan menjalankan operasi pemeriksaan dan operasi ke atas individu atau peniaga yang mengambil kesempatan dan masih berdegil dalam menjalankan urus niaga barangan tiruan dan cetak rompak di seluruh negara secara berterusan.

    Dengan ini, KPDNHEP menegaskan bahawa sekiranya mereka dapati mana-mana individu/peniaga yang menjual barangan cetak rompak dan tiruan, tindakan tegas akan diambil ke atas mereka di bawah Akta Cap Dagangan 2019 (ACD 2019) dan Akta Hakcipta 1987 (AHC 1987). Jika disabitkan kesalahan, denda yang boleh dikenakan di bawah APD 2019 adalah sehingga RM 10,000.00 bagi setiap barang tiruan yang dipakaikan dengan salah cap dagangan berdaftar atau boleh dikenakan penjara sehingga 3 tahun atau kedua-duanya sekali. Manakala denda yang boleh dikenakan di bawah AHC 1987 pula adalah sehingga RM 20,000.00 bagi setiap salinan langgaran hakcipta atau penjara sehingga 5 tahun atau kedua-duanya sekali.

    Sepanjang tahun 2018 hingga Julai 2020, sebanyak 1,421 kes yang melibatkan barang tiruan telah dicatatkan dengan nilai rampasan sebanyak RM 31,065,886.00. Daripada jumlah yang tersebut sebanyak 75 kes adalah melibatkan kes tangkap, reman dan tuduh di mahkamah bagi peniaga-peniaga yang melakukan kesalahan menjual barang tiruan. Manakala bagi penguatkuasaan cetak rompak, kes yang dihasilkan pada tempoh yang sama adalah sebanyak 438 kes dengan nilai rampasan sebanyak RM 4,173,970.00.

    Sebagai satu bentuk penguatkuasaan yang lebih serius dalam menangani isu ini, penguatkuasaan akan dipanjangkan kepada pemilik premis atau bangunan yang membenarkan aktiviti penjualan barangan tiruan dan cetak rompak yang dijalankan di premis seliaan atau milikan mereka. Ini secara langsung akan memberi peringatan kepada mereka supaya melarang premis mereka digunakan sebagai premis yang menjalankan aktiviti perniagaan yang melanggar undang-undang yang dikuatkuasakan oleh KPDNHEP. Pemilik premis atau bangunan yang membenarkan premis mereka digunakan untuk menjual barangan tiruan atau cetak rompak boleh diambil tindakan penguatkuasaan di bawah ACD 2019 dan AHC 1987.

    KPDNHEP juga akan turut mengambil tindakan tegas dengan menggunakan peruntukan kesalahan di bawah Akta Pencegahan Pengubahan Wang Haram, Pencegahan Pembiayaan Keganasan dan Hasil Daripada Aktiviti Haram 2001 (AMLATFPUAA), yang membolehkan kesemua akaun milik pesalah/suspek dibekukan dan dilucuthak jika didapati menjual barangan tiruan atau cetak rompak. Peruntukan kesalahan ini juga turut terpakai kepada mana-mana pemilik premis perniagaan atau bangunan yang menyediakan atau menyewakan premis mereka kepada individu/peniaga yang menjual barangan tiruan dan cetak rompak kerana bersubahat dan bekerjasama dengan perniagaan terbabit.

    KPDNHEP memandang perkara ini dengan serius dan tidak akan berkompromi dengan mana-mana individu/peniaga yang terlibat menawarkan penjualan barangan tiruan dan cetak rompak. Selain itu, KPNDHEP akan bekerjasama dengan Agensi Penguatkuasaan Undang-Undang lain yang berkaitan antaranya Pihak Berkuasa Tempatan, Jabatan Imigresen Malaysia (JIM), Polis DiRaja Malaysia (PDRM), Jabatan Kastam DiRaja Malaysia (JKDM) dan Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia (SSM) dalam usaha membanteras penjualan barangan tiruan dan cetak rompak.

    Sekali lagi, KPDNHEP ingin memberi amaran tegas kepada mana-mana peniaga yang menjalankan urus niaga barangan tiruan dan cetak rompak agar menghentikan aktiviti perniagaan tersebut. Sekiranya dijumpai di mana-mana premis yang menjual barangan tiruan dan cetak rompak di pasaran fizikal mahupun pasaran dalam talian (online market place), masyarakat/orang awam boleh membuat aduan kepada KPDNHEP di talian 1-800-886-800 atau Whatsapp ke 019-2794317 atau melalui portal eaduan.kpdnhep.gov.my untuk diambil tindakan sewajarnya.
