TPK Park recognised as Malaysia’s Largest Home & Living Retail Cluster in an Industrial Park by MBOR

Selangor’s ongoing commitment to rejuvenating mature townships, industrial parks and commercial areas through continuous renewal, strategic partnerships and private sector investment has played a key role in transforming Puchong into one of the Klang Valley’s leading Home & Living hubs. This transformation was highlighted by Selangor State Executive Councillor for Investment, Trade and Mobility and Kinrara State Assemblyman, YB Ng Sze Han, during the Malaysia Book of Records (MBOR) presentation ceremony recognising TPK Park as the Largest Home & Living Retail Cluster in an Industrial Park.

Puchong’s steady evolution reflects how mature townships can continue to generate long-term economic value through commercial clustering, improved connectivity and sustained investment. Once a smaller township, Puchong has developed into a thriving urban centre with a strong Home & Living ecosystem, attracting homeowners from across the Klang Valley in search of renovation, furnishing and home improvement solutions.

A key driver of this transformation is TPK Park, which houses 16 Home & Living operators across approximately 96,728 square feet and spans eight core categories within the sector. Its recognition by the Malaysia Book of Records marks a significant milestone, showcasing how an industrial park can be successfully repositioned into a specialised commercial cluster through continuous reinvestment, planning and business curation.

The township’s growth has been further supported by residential expansion, improved connectivity through the LRT network, increasing commercial activity and sustained confidence from the private sector. These factors have created a strong foundation for specialised business ecosystems to thrive, complementing the Selangor State Government’s efforts alongside agencies such as Invest Selangor and Majlis Bandaraya Subang Jaya (MBSJ) to strengthen mature commercial and industrial zones.

Unlike conventional industrial developments established decades ago, TPK Park has continued to evolve in tandem with Puchong through environmental enhancements, infrastructure upgrades and a deliberate focus on building a cohesive Home & Living cluster. This long-term approach demonstrates how industrial spaces can remain relevant and competitive while contributing to broader township transformation.

Speaking at the ceremony, YB Ng Sze Han emphasised that Selangor’s next phase of growth will not only focus on new developments but also on unlocking the potential of existing townships through renewal and stronger public-private collaboration. He noted that TPK Park serves as a clear example of how vision, reinvestment and decisive action can transform conventional industrial spaces into vibrant economic hubs.

Dato’ Wong Shung Yen, Managing Director of TPK Park

TPK Park Managing Director Dato’ Wong Shung Yen echoed this sentiment, highlighting the importance of evolving alongside the community. He shared that continuous upgrading, curated tenant mix and long-term planning were essential to ensuring the development remains relevant to modern homeowners. He also acknowledged the support of the state government, Invest Selangor and MBSJ in fostering an environment conducive to sustained investment.

Building on its MBOR recognition, TPK Park has also announced a seven-figure investment programme of more than RM1 million for its next phase of enhancements, focusing on placemaking and environmental improvements. This initiative reinforces the role of continuous reinvestment, public-private collaboration and commercial clustering in unlocking long-term value within mature developments.

Ultimately, the success of TPK Park and the broader transformation of Puchong underscore a key principle of urban development in Selangor: successful townships are not static, but continuously renewed. This approach reflects the state’s broader vision of strengthening mature urban areas as sustainable drivers of economic growth and innovation.
