Taking place from 26 to 28 June 2026, the three-day festival is a collaborative effort between the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and Central i-City, a development by Central Pattana and its first shopping centre project outside Thailand, offering Malaysians a closer experience of Thailand’s rich cultural identity without leaving the country. Having travelled across multiple international cities as part of its global showcase, this year’s edition of Amazing Thailand Fest continues to highlight Thailand’s cultural richness through food, tourism, lifestyle and creative expressions. Following successful collaborations between Central Group’s international retail network and TAT in global destinations such as London, Berlin and Amsterdam, Malaysia marks the fourth stop of this worldwide cultural journey, further strengthening Thailand’s cultural presence on the international stage. A key highlight of the festival is the appearance of Thai actor and singer Third Lapat, who is set to entertain fans with a live performance and cooking demonstration, adding star power and excitement to the celebration. The festival itself is built around an immersive showcase of Thailand’s food heritage, cultural traditions and warm hospitality, featuring authentic Thai cuisine, street food favourites and a series of traditional performances including Nora, Phirom Ros Siam and Pong Pai, which will be staged throughout the event. As the Malaysian host venue, Central i-City enhances the experience with additional lifestyle attractions and interactive activities designed for families and visitors of all ages. One of the main attractions is the Sawasdee Lounge, a Thai-inspired floating market concept that offers visitors a relaxed space to enjoy Thai desserts, snacks and beverages while being surrounded by live busker performances, games and photo-worthy installations inspired by Thailand’s iconic market culture. The festival also offers a wide range of family-friendly activities, including workshops, arts and crafts sessions, dessert-making classes, Kids Muay Thai workshops and Thai massage experiences, allowing visitors to engage with Thai culture in a hands-on and enjoyable way. These curated experiences aim to make the festival more inclusive, educational and entertaining for all age groups. Representatives from Central Group and Central Pattana expressed pride in hosting the festival in Malaysia, highlighting Central i-City as the first shopping centre in Southeast Asia selected for the global cultural showcase. They emphasised the importance of strengthening cultural ties between Thailand and Malaysia while making Thai culture more accessible through a combination of retail, entertainment and immersive experiences. The Tourism Authority of Thailand also noted that Malaysia remains one of Thailand’s key tourism markets, and the festival provides an opportunity to deepen cultural understanding while encouraging tourism exchange between the two countries. In addition to cultural programming, Central i-City is also offering exclusive promotions throughout the festival period, including rewards for shoppers and a chance to win a round-trip getaway to Phuket. With its blend of authentic cuisine, live performances, celebrity appearances and interactive cultural activities, Amazing Thailand Fest 2026 delivers an engaging and memorable celebration that brings the spirit of Thailand closer to Malaysian audiences in a lively and accessible way.
