SEEK Introduces SEEK Pass in Malaysia to Enhance Job Market Efficiency

SEEK, the parent company of Jobstreet by SEEK, has officially launched SEEK Pass in Malaysia, offering job seekers a verified credential passport to stand out in the competitive job market. This initiative extends to six Asian markets, including Hong Kong, Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand, aiming to streamline the hiring process through trusted verification.

With job applications in Malaysia surging by 35% from 2023 to 2024, SEEK Pass provides a timely solution to help job seekers gain visibility while enabling employers to confidently shortlist candidates.

“As Malaysia’s leading employment marketplace, our goal is to match the right talent with the right opportunities. SEEK Pass enhances job seekers’ visibility while giving employers the confidence to make informed hiring decisions,” stated Nicholas Lam, Managing Director of Jobstreet by SEEK in Malaysia.

The accelerated rollout of SEEK Pass across Asia follows the successful integration of SEEK, Jobstreet, and Jobsdb last year. This unified platform has enabled faster product innovation, making credential verification more accessible across multiple markets.

A key feature of SEEK Pass is its partnership with Accredify, which facilitates the verification of educational qualifications from participating universities. The first institution onboard in Malaysia is Sunway University, providing fresh graduates with a competitive edge while allowing employers to efficiently assess verified credentials.

Xavier Russo, General Manager of SEEK Pass, highlighted its success in Australia and New Zealand, where 40% of applications on SEEK now include verified credentials. These applications have a 10% higher likelihood of being shortlisted than unverified ones. “We’re excited to bring this proven model to Asia, empowering millions of job seekers using Jobstreet and Jobsdb with trusted credentials.”

Currently, SEEK Pass offers work experience verification across all its Asian markets. Malaysia, however, leads with additional verification features, including identity and educational qualifications. Over time, the service aims to expand its range of verifiable credentials, mirroring the success seen in Australia and New Zealand, where more than 20 unique credentials are now available.
