Following its success in Indera Makhota, Lotuss Stores Malaysia Sdn Bhd (Lotus’s Malaysia) expands its operations in Johor to maximise the retailer’s reach with a new store in the Kluang district. The single level store and mall spans around 6,000 square meters and is situated strategically in Bandar Newpark, Kluang town’s new administrative and commercial center.
Lotus’s Malaysia’s 67th store officially opened today and was officiated by Majupadu Development Sdn Bhd, accompanied by Kenneth Chuah, President of Lotus’s Malaysia and other members of the Lotus’s Leadership team.
Lotus’s Malaysia President, Kenneth Chuah said, “As a neighbourhood mall with its own supermarket, we bring a mix of tenants offering dining, children entertainment, IT, health & wellbeing and fashion, as well as our Lotus’s Own Brand products alongside other branded favourites. This means residents may no longer have to travel far to enjoy a one-stop shopping experience that offers convenience, value and quality”.
“For four days, starting today till 8 October, Lotus’s Kluang will operate from 8.30am until 12.00am. We want to give our Kluang customers the opportunity to enjoy the many promotions on offer including our Lebih Murah and Segar & Murah selection, as well as the many offers from our mall tenants. Our overarching aim for Lotus’s Kluang is to be the community’s shopping destination and to bring our #KitakanJiran spirit to our new neighbours”.
The new store features a comprehensive FRESH produce, grocery and bakery section, lifestyle, household and electrical selection, stationery and more. It’s food court offers Malaysian, Thai and western cuisines with affordable meals as low as RM8, RM5 menu RAHMAH and Wifi network with suitable working spaces. Other offerings include the Happy Kids indoor playground & candy house, Goldfinch jeweler, UR by Switch, Zus Coffee, Mr Toy and Mr DIY amongst its other 17 key tenants.
At the opening, customers were quick to grab first day steal deals on a whole fresh chicken at only RM1.00 and RM0.10 on jewellery by one of its tenants for the first 30 customers. Until 8 October 2023, the retailer will be giving out FREE nasi lemak, kuih and teh tarik for breakfast and satay from 9.00am onwards. Customers may also enjoy a 10% discount in its food court for selected meals until 5 November 2023.

Following a week after the opening of Lotus’s Kluang, the retailer will also be introducing its 68th store in Muar. Lotus’s Muar is a 4,000 square meters store and mall combined, located at the Gemilang Bakri Commercial Center.
Committed to turning industry challenges like food waste into opportunities for social impact, Lotus’s Kluang and Lotus’s Muar will join other Lotus’s stores to divert its edible food surplus away from landfills under its #KitakanJiran Food Surplus Donation Programme. The programme daily donates edible food surplus to under-resourced and underserved families with the help of its long-time charity partner, Kechara Soup Kitchen and the Food Aid Foundation. Since 2018, Lotus’s Malaysia has diverted 2.4 million kilograms of surplus food away from landfills, converting them to 10.4 million meals, providing over 120,000 families with access to nutrition.
