vivo has officially launched OriginOS 6 globally, marking the next milestone in mobile operating system innovation. The latest evolution of vivo’s advanced OS introduces a new era of smoothness, design, and AI-powered functionality, redefining the way users interact with their devices. The debut in Malaysia will take place this November, with the vivo X300 being the first device to come pre-installed with the new system.

The new Origin Smooth Engine coordinates system modules, computing, storage, and display to deliver an experience that looks smooth, feels smooth, and remains smooth over time. Its 8+1 Ultra-Core Computing framework ensures high-priority tasks are handled efficiently, improving app cold-start speed by 18.5% and frame-rate stability by 10.5%. Memory Fusion boosts data loading by 106%, while Dual Rendering enhances animation performance by 35% and maintains steadier frame rates even under heavy loads.
The Origin Animation System elevates the on-screen experience with effects like Spring Animation, Blur Transition, Morphing Animation, and One Shot Animation, ensuring every interaction flows naturally. Touch responsiveness is also enhanced with vivo’s Snap-Up Engine, faster app launches, and refined touch response, delivering a fluid, effortless experience for every tap and swipe. OriginOS 6 has earned SGS certification for sustained smoothness, simulating five years of heavy use to guarantee lasting performance.
OriginOS 6 also introduces intuitive, nature-inspired design. The Origin Design system unifies visual elements such as color, iconography, fonts, layout, and depth, resulting in a clean yet precise interface. The vivo Sans font supports over 40 languages and allows adjustable weight, while over 2,800 refined symbols maintain clarity at any size. Features like Dynamic Glow and Translucent Color create depth and vibrancy, while app designs from iManager to Origin Health enable users to complete tasks efficiently. Immersive Weather, customizable Lock Screen Grid, redesigned Home Screen Grid, and Flip Cards allow users to personalize their experience and bring photos and widgets to life in dynamic ways.
vivo AI further enhances the system, introducing smarter, more intuitive features in collaboration with Google, including upgraded Gemini and Circle to Search. The Origin Island provides real-time contextual suggestions, while tools such as Copy and Go, Drag and Go, AI Retouch, Smart Call Assistant, DocMaster, AI Creation, AI Search, Office Kit, and One Tap Transfer streamline productivity, creativity, and device integration across platforms.
Security and reliability remain a priority with the vivo Security brand, offering robust data protection, transparency, and on-device intelligence. BlueVolt technology improves power efficiency and charging stability, ensuring consistent performance over time. OriginOS 6 will begin rolling out globally in November 2025, with Malaysia among the first markets to receive the upgrade. The vivo X300 will be the first model in Malaysia to feature the new OS, and rollout schedules may vary by region.
