The newly launched BYD 3S Centre in Kota Kinabalu, operated by Regas EV Sabah, is the first facility of its kind in East Malaysia. Spanning over 1,288 square meters, this modern centre is designed to offer a wide range of services, including sales, vehicle test drives, and after-sales support. It is a comprehensive hub for BYD enthusiasts and potential customers in the region, offering a one-stop solution for all things electric vehicle-related.
The centre is also equipped with the latest DC Super Charger technology, featuring two fast-charging units with four charging guns capable of delivering up to 180kW of power. This enables customers to enjoy quick and efficient charging, setting the BYD 3S Centre apart as a state-of-the-art facility for the region’s growing EV market.
This milestone also aligns with BYD’s ongoing expansion in East Malaysia. Following the opening of the Kota Kinabalu 3S Centre, Sime Motors and Regas EV have also expanded BYD’s footprint with the launch of a new showroom in Sibu, Sarawak, joining the already established Kuching showroom. With three showrooms now operational in East Malaysia, BYD is solidifying its presence in the region, bringing the total number of showrooms across Malaysia to 29. The company has ambitious plans to expand beyond 30 showrooms by the end of 2024, ensuring that more Malaysians can access their innovative EV solutions.
