Kuala Lumpur Tower is set to welcome families, tourists and culture enthusiasts to a vibrant weekend celebration from 16 to 18 January 2026, marking the start of its support for the national Visit Malaysia 2026 campaign. The three-day activation invites the public to experience the city’s iconic skyline in a fresh and engaging way through a series of family-friendly activities designed to create memorable moments at one of Kuala Lumpur’s most recognisable landmarks.
As part of the festive launch, Kuala Lumpur Tower will be transformed into a lively celebration hub featuring the 100 Bear Exhibition alongside special appearances by Visit Malaysia 2026 mascots, Wira and Manja. The presence of these national tourism icons adds a playful and meaningful touch to the experience, blending sightseeing with interactive elements that appeal to visitors of all ages.
This activation highlights Kuala Lumpur Tower’s commitment to experiential tourism, encouraging visitors to actively engage with the destination rather than simply admire the views. Through themed photo zones, interactive mascot encounters and live cultural performances, the initiative aligns with the Visit Malaysia 2026 vision of creating family-oriented and immersive tourism experiences at iconic national sites.
A key attraction of the weekend is the 100 Bear Exhibition, which showcases 100 life-sized mascot statues comprising 50 Wira and 50 Manja figures. Inspired by the Malayan Sun Bear, a native and protected species, the mascots are displayed across the Tower Terrace, Observation Deck and Sky Terrace, offering visitors numerous photo opportunities against panoramic views of Kuala Lumpur.
Adding to the excitement, the event will feature a special mascot meet-and-greet that brings together Visit Malaysia 2026 mascots Wira and Manja with Kuala Lumpur Tower’s own mascots, Kay Elle and Tawa. This marks the first time all four mascots will appear together, creating interactive photo moments, complemented by complimentary mascot hand fans for early visitors, as well as striking outdoor balloon installations and an event arch at the Tower entrance.
Cultural elements will further enrich the experience, with every mascot appearance accompanied by live traditional Malay Kompang performances. These rhythmic displays bring the sound and spirit of Malaysian heritage to the peak of the city, enhancing the festive atmosphere throughout the weekend.
According to En. Khairil Faizal Hj Othman, Chief Executive Officer of LSH Service Master Sdn. Bhd., the collaboration supports the Visit Malaysia 2026 agenda by positioning Kuala Lumpur Tower as a high-visibility platform for national tourism storytelling. He shared that through simple, engaging and family-friendly experiences, the initiative aims to amplify Malaysia’s tourism message to both local and international audiences while reinforcing the Tower’s role as a key destination in the country’s tourism journey.
The activation will take place from Friday, 16 January to Sunday, 18 January 2026. Mascot appearances featuring Wira, Manja, Kay Elle and Tawa will be held daily in three sessions from 11.00 am to 12.00 pm, 2.00 pm to 3.00 pm and 5.00 pm to 6.00 pm. Live Kompang performances will run on Friday from 4.00 pm to 7.00 pm, and on Saturday and Sunday from 1.00 pm to 6.00 pm.
Visitors are encouraged to come for the breathtaking views, stay for the bears and immerse themselves in the celebratory spirit of Malaysia at Kuala Lumpur Tower this weekend.
