Internationally acclaimed, multi-platinum and award-winning artist Charlie Puth has unveiled his latest single, “Beat Yourself Up,” available now via Atlantic Records. The release marks the newest offering from his forthcoming studio album, Whatever’s Clever!, which is set to arrive on March 27 and is already available for pre-order on digital platforms.
Written from a deeply personal place, “Beat Yourself Up” began as a message Puth wanted to convey to a close friend. The song reflects a gentle reminder not to be overly critical of oneself despite past mistakes, and to trust that better days lie ahead. As the songwriting process unfolded, Puth realised the message resonated beyond that initial inspiration, becoming a reflection of his own experiences and those of many others who struggle with self-doubt. The track ultimately serves as an uplifting reminder to persevere, practice self-compassion and keep moving forward.
Co-produced by Charlie Puth alongside BLOODPOP, the single offers a glimpse into what is shaping up to be Puth’s most personal and exploratory musical chapter to date. An official music video directed by Hunter Moreno is set to be released soon, further expanding the emotional narrative behind the song.
The release of “Beat Yourself Up” also coincides with the announcement of Charlie Puth’s biggest global tour to date. The Whatever’s Clever! World Tour will see him performing across major arenas in North America, Europe and the United Kingdom. Kicking off on April 22 at Viejas Arena in San Diego, the tour will feature 34 dates across North America before heading overseas later in the year. Fans can expect a dynamic setlist blending new material with chart-topping favourites from his catalogue, accompanied by his full live band. Tickets are now on sale via his official website.
Adding to a milestone year, Charlie Puth is also confirmed to perform at Super Bowl LX on February 8 in San Francisco, further cementing his position as one of the defining artists of his generation. With new music, a global tour and a highly anticipated album on the horizon, Whatever’s Clever! signals an exciting new era for the singer-songwriter as he continues to evolve both musically and personally.Charlie Puth Returns with New Single “Beat Yourself Up” Ahead of Upcoming Album Whatever’s Clever!
