Atlas Copco Group has officially opened its new 120,000 sq ft integrated facility in Shah Alam, marking a major expansion of its regional footprint. This eight-figure investment serves as a 3-acre strategic hub for Malaysia and Southeast Asia, centralizing coordination for the company’s operations in Kuantan, Penang, and Johor. The facility also houses a regional shared finance services center, supporting multiple international markets and reinforcing the Group’s long-standing presence in Malaysia since 1982.

The launch underscores a strong focus on high-value talent growth, aligning with Malaysia’s New Industrial Master Plan 2030 (NIMP 2030). Currently employing 273 staff, the Group plans to create up to 100 new roles over the next five years, particularly in sales, marketing, and technical service sectors. This expansion aims to bridge the local talent gap by equipping professionals with the specialized skills needed for advanced industrial services.

Strategically located in Alam Impian, the hub benefits from excellent connectivity to Port Klang, major highways, and future transit lines like the LRT3. This proximity is designed to optimize logistics and service delivery, ensuring faster response times for customers while making the site highly accessible for employees across the Klang Valley. The modern workspace also integrates ESG-focused features to promote energy efficiency and long-term sustainability.

Supported by MIDA and celebrated by the Embassy of Sweden, the inauguration highlights Malaysia’s rising status as a preferred destination for global industrial players. By combining regional operations with a commitment to local workforce development, Atlas Copco Group is positioning itself to lead industrial innovation in the region. The collaboration between government agencies and international bodies continues to drive Malaysia’s transition toward a more productive and competitive digital economy.
