Kuala Lumpur, 29 July 2026. vivo Malaysia has announced its “Shoot Beyond What You See” Challenge, a nationwide photography competition taking place from 3 to 31 August 2026 in conjunction with Malaysia’s 69th Merdeka celebration.

Held throughout Merdeka Month, the campaign encourages Malaysians to celebrate the nation’s rich heritage, diversity and shared identity by capturing iconic landmarks from fresh and unique perspectives.

Powered by the vivo X300 Ultra and the vivo ZEISS Telephoto Extender Gen 2 Ultra, the challenge highlights the smartphone’s advanced imaging capabilities through a real-world photography experience. With focal lengths ranging from 400mm to 8100mm, the telephoto extender allows users to capture distant landmarks with remarkable clarity, transforming ordinary viewpoints into extraordinary images.

Participants are invited to visit a location of their choice and photograph a well-known Malaysian landmark from afar. To join the challenge, they simply need to share their photo on social media using the hashtag #MyPerspectiveofMY and tag the location where the photo was taken.

Inspired by the spirit of “One Malaysia”, the campaign encourages Malaysians to showcase the different perspectives that make the country unique. From capturing the PETRONAS Twin Towers and Genting Highlands in a single frame to photographing Merdeka 118 from a distant location, the challenge invites everyone to rediscover Malaysia’s iconic landmarks in a creative way.

To make the celebration even more rewarding, vivo Malaysia is also introducing exclusive SPayLater promotions at selected vivo Concept Stores in Penang, Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Johor Bahru. Customers can enjoy six months of 0% installment plans, receive a RM100 rebate with a minimum purchase of RM1,000, and earn up to 10,000 Coin Bonanza rewards during the promotional period.
