Algorithmic Organisms 2.0 Unveils Malaysia’s First AI-Powered Audiovisual Art Experience

Kuala Lumpur is set to become the stage for a groundbreaking fusion of art and technology with the arrival of Algorithmic Organisms 2.0, Malaysia’s first AI-driven audiovisual art experience. Taking place from 4 to 19 July 2026 at The Grey Box, GMBB, the immersive exhibition promises to redefine how audiences engage with contemporary art by combining artificial intelligence, sound design, moving imagery, and spatial storytelling into a single evolving environment.

Organized by Jazzy Group of Companies, presented by MAISEAT, and supported by the National Art Gallery of Malaysia, the exhibition is powered by Alien Illuminate and SQNXR. The project is the creation of internationally acclaimed audiovisual artist 0010×0010, also known as Ray Tijssen, whose works have been showcased at prestigious venues around the world, including institutions in Bangkok, London, and Dubai.

Unlike traditional exhibitions that focus on static artworks, Algorithmic Organisms 2.0 invites visitors into a dynamic ecosystem where AI-generated visuals and immersive soundscapes continuously evolve in real time. The exhibition challenges conventional notions of spectatorship, encouraging audiences to become active participants within a living digital environment that responds and transforms throughout the experience.

At its core, the project explores the intersection of nature, technology, and creativity. Even the exhibition’s visual identity reflects this philosophy, with its official artwork designed as an “algorithmic organism” — a hybrid digital entity generated through computational processes. This concept symbolizes the ongoing evolution of artistic expression in an era increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence.

The exhibition will also feature the presence of Ray Tijssen in Kuala Lumpur, giving local audiences and industry professionals an opportunity to engage directly with the artist behind the project. An exclusive preview session for media, partners, and invited guests will be held on 3 July ahead of its public opening.

As immersive technologies continue to influence creative industries worldwide, Algorithmic Organisms 2.0 represents a significant milestone for Malaysia’s cultural landscape.
