UND3RGROUND Showcase (Butterfingers, Hujan & Bunkface) Rock Local Indie Fans to Celebrate the 15th Anniversary of Hitman Group

The ‘UND3RGROUND’ showcase featuring indie rock legends Butterfingers, Hujan, and Bunkface sounds like an incredible event to celebrate Hitman Group’s 15-year anniversary. With a crowd of 6,000 people at Surf Beach, Sunway Lagoon, it must have been an electrifying atmosphere.

According to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) & Founder of Hitman Solutions, Mr. Rohit Rampal, “We chose the UND3RGROUND showcase to commemorate our 15th anniversary celebration as a tribute to the journey of our business and putting decades of hard work into it, which parallels the experiences of the bands involved.

“It’s a fitting combination, a celebration of successful indie artists and business ventures that were built from the ground up, and also providing a platform for newer independent vendors.

The showcase which kicked-off at 8:00 pm lasted for about 3 hours, bearing witness to the country’s best indie acts where all 3 bands – Butterfingers, Hujan & Bunkface kicked off the show with performing together on one stage of UND3RGROUND Showcase. The showcase was then blast off with each band performing for a duration of 45 minutes.

The OG, the founding fathers of indie movement in Malaysia, the legendary Butterfingers, which consists of Loque, Emmett, Loko and Kadax performed a number of their nostalgic songs such as Taman Tasik Perdana, Tentang Tentang, Garden City Of Lights and others, while fans get to reminisce about the good old days.

Next, one of the nation’s most successful indie rock bands, Hujan, which consists of Noh Salleh, AG Coco, Azham and Izzat, entertained to a legion of eager fans with their chart-topping hits such as Lonely Soldier Boy, Kotak Hati and Mencari Konklusi.

While popular punk rock band, Bunkface, which came into the music scene in 2005 brought the house down with their glorious hits such as Darah Muda, Ekstravaganza, Revolusi and also some of their new releases.

Mr. Rohit added, “What’s special on this night, we’ve combined the UND3RGROUND Showcase together with our 15th anniversary which encompasses all of our services, from event management and production to showcase promotion, AV (audiovisual) technical expertise, marketing and also design, incorporating all ofour skills to deliver the best of the best for this occasion.

What started off some 15 years ago, has developed into something which is something to be proud of, he said, “Honestly, I’m just overflowing with gratitude and pride for everyone who’s been part of this incredible journey, from my amazing friends and family to the unstoppable dedication of my team.

“It all began when I used to dabble in small events when I was just a teenager. From there, we evolved from being an event design company to venturing into event production, investing in more equipment. And now, we’ve grown to offer a complete 360 event solutions package. It’s truly heartening to see how far we’ve come, and it reaffirms my belief that with the right attitude and the right people by your side, anything is possible.

The year 2024 marks a new beginning for Hitman Group as one of the leading event management companies in the country, and when asked what is in store for music fans in Malaysia and around the region, Mr. Rohit said, “If you’d asked me this question 15 years ago, I wouldn’t have dreamt of the incredible journey we’re on today. But here we are, and wherever we head next, one thing’s for sure, it’s going to be even bigger, more spectacular, and with a broader range of industries and event scales.
