AJOI ZAINAL just dropped her new single “JAGA DIRI”

The loss of a loved one, particularly a parent, is a painful and difficult event. The heartbreaking event will undoubtedly leave us still yearning for their affection.

The vacancy lingers in the heart of the rising singer, Ajoi Zainal. At the age of 24, he has lost the love of a man who he calls a father. No matter how hard he moves forward, the passing of his father is still mourned.

With the longing for his father, Ajoi dedicated his new song titled ‘Jaga Dia’. Not wanting to live in denial, he still hopes that he can meet, kiss, and be pampered by his father even only just in his dreams.

“’Jaga Dia’ tells a story of a child who misses his father after his passing. He constantly longs for his father and hopes that he can meet his father to enjoy the most beautiful moments and memories even in dreams. This song is specially intended for my late father,” he said.

Thus, while recording ‘Jaga Dia,’ Ajoi’s emotion flows perfectly in the whole song. Every lyrical stanza he uttered comes genuinely from a child’s love for his father.

To tell the truth, the face of his beloved father lingers in his mind all the time while recording the song. In fact, he managed to recall the sweetest memories when his father was still alive that he will never ever forget.

“Because this song was created and written by me, the emotions come naturally. My principle of singing a song is that if I do not understand the song completely, then I will not sing it.”

“Of course, during the recording process, the melody and lyrics constantly reminded me of him. I still remember when my father always shouted my name every time I performed on the stage. Dad is the main backbone of my life,” he said.

Lately, Ajoi’s name is gaining more attention due to cover versions of various songs, both local and international, that he uploaded online. At the same time, his followings increased, and his talent is getting more appraisal.

Nevertheless, he hopes that the dedicated support continues with the launch of the song ‘Jaga Dia’. Most importantly, he hopes that his own work will be able to touch the hearts of listeners from every layer of age.

“I hope this first song that I created will be genuinely accepted by every age. We all have or once had a father. Hopefully, everyone can continue to support me and if God willing, I will keep on appearing with many more works after this.” he said.

Ajoi Zainal is not a foreign name in the local music industry and has tried his luck in various singing competitions. He has competed in Bintang RTM 2018, won Cover Star Era organized by number one local radio station ERA and participated in the All Together Now Malaysia program.

Nonetheless, his recent appearance in the fifth season of Big Stage program really opened doors of opportunities for his career. Despite being eliminated in the Semi-finals of Big Stage 2022, Ajoi managed to showcase his ability as a true performer.
