ABS Greentech Launches Second Asia Smart Farming 2024 with Vision for Sustainable, High-Tech Agriculture

ABS Greentech Sdn Bhd is proud to announce the successful soft launch of the 2nd Asia Smart Farming (ASF) 2024 held today from 9 to 11 AM at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC). The event was inaugurated by Dato Syed Munshe Afdzaruddin, the Organizing Chairman of Smart Farming 2024. This soft launch served as a precursor to the upcoming 2nd Asia Smart Farming and Food Security Conference and Exhibition, scheduled for 25th-27th October 2024 at PICC.

This event highlighted the promotion of smart, pesticide-free farming practices that have the potential to transform agricultural methods, leading to high yields, sustainability, and safer consumption same goes to the tagline “Pesticide-free for healthier Nation,” that provides visitors access to proven smart farming technologies including artificial intelligence, sensors, drones, data analytics, automation, and ESG-compliant consumables. These innovations aim to produce higher-quality products, command better prices, and generate higher income for farmers.

ABS Greentech Sdn. Bhd. executed 11 memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with a variety of international industry attendees during the inaugural Smart Farming event in 2023 to finance projects in the smart agriculture sector. R M Ravichandar, the Chief Executive Officer of ABS Greentech Sdn Bhd, has announced a financing commitment of RM550 million to improve smart farming techniques and promote food security in Malaysia.

 

ABS Greentech is looking forward to signing additional MOUs with international industry players during the upcoming ASF 2024. These partnerships will provide the necessary financing for our new agricultural projects. ASF 2024 will highlight the latest developments in smart farming techniques that focus on Integrated Pest Management, a method that eliminates the need for pesticides. ASF 2024 will create an ideal platform for technologists, industry players, technocrats, and bankers to collaborate and connect.

This event provides an opportunity for policymakers and industry players to compare Malaysia’s agricultural technologies with those of neighboring countries. The focus is on improving food security and aligning with Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles.
